The game launches and after a couple of screens crashes, no message.
Still crashes after the first two companies logo screen. Applied crack and ran both starships and starships64 as admin as well. Not the fault of skid probably so I’ll be waiting for sid’s next patch to be posted here.

Within the folder is a CommonRedist folder. Within that, there is a OpenAL application. You need to install that in order for the game to work. Its an audio program and the game must try to call that program, it doesnt exist, the game exists.
E will be waiting a long time for the patch that wont come, so he better look back here!
You need to go into the _CommonRedist folder and run the application. It solves the crashing after the logos.

I am unable to run, on Windows 7, even after copying the Fix files, the game window opens and the intro audio starts playing but without any graphics showing; pressing escape, clicking mouse button causes game to quit/ game window closes. What am I missing? Are we supposed to modify the .ini file in any way??

For those with crashes, go into Redist, and install Open AL worked for me
Hello, I installed without issue, installed the openAL app that comes with, but when I attempt to run the game, it attempts to install steam… which is already installed on my computer. Should I install this game in the steam folder? Or is there something else I am missing?
Wow, just wow…. I have installed so many games today that I actually forgot to copy crack files over for this one. Silly mistake.

– FIXED THE CRASH AFTER THE FIRST TWO SCREENS –
1. Open the installation directory.
2. Open _CommonRedist folder, then OpenAL and then 2.0.7.0.
3. Click on oalinst.exe and click OK in the window that pops up.
4. Launch the game.
the game doesnt execute even after installing OpenAL, and there’s no crack folder…. i installed from the torrent link… did i do something wrong?
