Can’t seem to get this one working 🙁
When I get my folder path in the patcher it says a valid version was found.
When I click press it starts doing it’s thing but after a while I get “Error! Chosen directory ddoesn’t have required files for patching! Please check original files and file names in selected dir!”
after that when I press okay I get “Division by zero.”
I same the same issue as you buddy, im having problems on updating the game
I have yet to install the update, but from previous experience, my guess is that you didn’t replace the cracked Palworld.exe with the original one before applying the patch. (and then re-replace it)

BUT after updating then crack it, it doesnt recognise my save file from 0.1.4.0
the save are still where it should be, but it is not listed when i launch the game.

as long as you stransfer the saves and use the previous versions engine folder for only saves it should be fine

How do i use this method ? i would get file hash mismatched error
You usually need to update from the uncracked version of the game, which makes most “update only” cracks tedious. Amateur “pirates” are like that.

I figured this out a week ago. What you need to do is transfer the engine folder from the cracked version to your steam version.

You can transfer host saves from users/*yourname*/local/appdata/Palworld. Make backups and figure out which is your cracked folder.
Bro, why are the torrent versions different from the other download links versions? The player id is totaly different as a result and it cannot read my file from the other version (the mirror site version) also the dedicated server I play assume I’m a new player instead of loading the save it had on my previous player id…

Before patching, save your saves ( C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames )
When patching, select the folder where Palwolrd is located and don’t forget to check save backup
it lasts about 15min

I launched the game and I had none of my worlds
2 choices:
Launch a new world saved on
Then return to
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames
and there will be 2 folders ( Your ID Steam )
1 old one for example
7XXXXXXXXXXXXXX25
and the new following the update
7XXXXXXXXXXXXXX39
Put your saves in the new one and it should work
2nd choice
Go to C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves\settings
And change in the user_steam_id file and put back your old ID 7XXXXXXXXXXXXXX25

All the file host links say v1.4.0 not 1.4.1 like it should be.

For idiot pirates out there, you need to restore the original files (non-crack ver) before updating. If you are dumb enough to not have a copy of the original files, go download the torrent again.

run it from new folder, and creat new world and save and back to main screen, then replace the new save fiels with your saves from previous version.
if you can buy this game from steam, please do that, direct updates without annoying things.

Go to C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves\settings then change the language.txt to desired language (remember, audio files for respectives country must be installed on game dir)

Need help, i managed to update the version to the latest version, im playing with a friend (who bought the game) and he is the host. I want to transfer the game from my laptop to desktop. But when i copy the files, and pal folder in appdata, my character is not sync. I need to create a new character at my pc. Any idea on how do I get my old data from laptop sync with the one in desktop? Thank you!
