Hi I, having problems with step 4, in the INFO section, because one SKYDROW item “steam_api.dll” needs premision to be used
I copy everything from the skidrow folder to the installation folder but when i click in the launcher the game never opens.. I have unisttaled and installed the game 3 trimes and always the same problem… Launcher doesnt load.. ( I click and the it appears the mouse thinking but then it becoems normal, it doesnt launch the game..) dont know what to do… Some one can help me or make a tutorial video?

but i encounterd a problem and was wondering if u know what to do …
after looting a place on the bottom left of the screen i see that the game failed to load some files one of them was named treasure..something/// it happend to me twice so far

it doesnt work. When i install it im getting error about steam file. Im choosing ignore option then replacing the steam files from the skidrow crack and the game just wont start.. Fix it please. I already exclude any file and turned off antivirus

still not working… I shut down the anti-virus and the dll still asks for permission… Im mad, im really mad now…
Please someone help! The first time I opened it everyting worked, but after that it everytime I clicked on the .exe or the shortcut it would show at my cursor that it would load but nothing happened. Since then I have downloaded and re-installed it many times but nothing works. If anyone knows the solution please tell it.

The games works perfectly. The only problem I had was with Windows Defender in Windows 10. It did not let me paste the contents of Skidrow folder into the installation, after disabling Windows Defender it let me paste those two files but then it detected them right away as viruses and deleted them without asking. As a workaround, I added both files to the Allowed list and then I was able to play freely even with Windows Defender activated.

You don’t need patch or crack to update this game to latest version, bacause Viking Conquest is just a module to Warband and it is Warband that you need to crack. And guess what, you already have it cracked within this release.
This is what you need to do to update Viking Conquest Reforged module:
1. Make backup of existing VC Reforged files. Just rename “Viking Conquest” folder inside “modules” to “Viking Conquest_old”.
2. Go to Viking Conquest website and download non-steam installer.
3. Google for “Universal Extractor”, download its binaries and extract the files. Then run the exe.
4. Click tripple-dot next to upper input and browse for non-steam installer file you downloaded in step 2. The app will choose extraction directory by itself and show it in lower input. You can change that, just make sure you have at least 2 gig of disk space free. Hit OK button.
5. Once the files are extracted go inside the directory with extracted files and into modules directory. Inside it you’ll find updated VC Reforged module files (2.021 atm).
6. Move the whole “Viking Conquest” to module directory where you have skidrow release installed. That’s all, you have the game updated.
7. Run the game.
8. Have fun.
9. Don’t blame me if you fcuk something up.
Hello there
It seems that the installer downloaded from taleworlds can’t be unzipped. I also tried Universal Extractor v1.5, just in case mine was not suitable, but an error message pops.
The installer is an .exe file. Could .exe files be unzipped, anyway?
Perhaps a 1st of April joke? Or am I missing something?

@mario Exe Files can’t be unzipped, but exe files can contain pretty much any kind of file. The extractor looks when a file ends and another one begins, tries to find the proper format and deals with it.

I downloaded this game, installed it – I checked, all files are there. However, when I try to run the game it refuses. After the initial double click with the mouse, the mouse gives that ‘I’m loading’ shape, but after 2 seconds that mouse icon stops and the game doesn’t start. I checked all active programs via a windows app thing, and Mount and blade warband viking conquest didn’t show up in there – meaning it didn’t even try to run itself after activation. the game is installed correctly (As far as I checked) but it just doesnt run. It’s like it automatically shuts itself down after starting. There are no windowed errors given by my pc, so does anyone have a clue how to fix it???

Just make sure you turn off your antivirus and only then copy the files from SKIDROW folder to install folder.

Yeah you downlaod the game, you install it, but then you cant copy the skidrow file to your PC, even with firewall/antivirus desactivated, it doesnt work.
And the launcher doesnt launch the game.
