Can you please not pirate this one, it’s from a solo developer and it took him over 5 years to make, he deserves all of the money from the game, if you like it, please buy it.

Piracy isn’t affecting the industry. Same as with movies/music.
The ones who *want* to buy all that media – *will* buy them,
The ones who *don’t* want to buy them (or can’t do it due to geoblocking, or being short on money atm) – *won’t* buy it *anyway*.
The reason that pirates will make a decision will be the “demo version” available for them to try at their local scene/torrent websites (because almost no one does demos in 2022 anymore).
So piracy not only doesn’t affect *real* sales – but even increases them.
Judging from my perspective *as well* – as I have a lot of games in various libraries (mostly Steam, ofc), after I tried their “demos”.
Because YT gameplay vids is one thing, and trying it yourself (character controls wise especially) is another.
There are, ofc, people who will deliberately pirate stuff, even though they easily *can* buy them. Let’s exclude those folks out of the equation, however – because you don’t mix as spoonful of shit with a jar of honey, otherwise you’ll end up with a whole jar of a shitty honey.
As for the games themselves – let’s not celebrate mediocracy, and give out effort ribbons left and right, just because somebody discovered that he can move assets around in a free game engine (nothing against that particular game which I haven’t played – just a food for thought).
If a game has enough honey – it’ll sell itself.
If not – even the pirates will stay away from it.
If its good i ll buy it as well. But i need to check a game before i buy it, too much trash being released not worth the money.
About 9gag, fuck that platform. Its full of trash people these days and its not funny anymore. It has become a pseudo news site like i fucking go there for news.

@Stive – This game isn’t amazing. It’s ASSmazing. Clunky controls and the models look like bumpy, ass flakes.
Game looks good, but the price is too hight for a early acces game. So i stay with free version instead of buy.
Basicly me too like support devs, but not when EA game is more than 10-15 euró(depend on genre). In my country 20 euró is very much amount of currency. 🙁 Maybe later if in discount game get 10 euró price, but until i use this one alternative.
So i guess this is Sands of the Coliseum, but better? (the old flash game)

I have 2490 games on steam alone, yeah its to try before I buy , money aint infinite and I got tons of games already, steam refund is great but annoying for developpers. But you can think what you want white knight.

Demos aren’t even a thing anymore. Most people would prefer to try a game before they buy.
Likewise, some people here, like myself, actually purchase the game outright, but would rather not have gaming software installed on the computer that monitors your personal activity. Hence buying, then downloading the cracked version.
Purchased a ticket to the movies yesterday day without even going. Supporting the movie industry, which should never vanish despite advancements to home entertainment. Everyone is becoming a bit a recluse, and completely ignorant to real life social engagements, hence the non-stop online ranting. Most people here would never speak this way to someone in real life.
