Trying to get this to work, I torrented and unzipped but it’s not showing any iso files or executables. Its all files ending in w4kr. Some of them show they are executable but when I run then it runs them as paint files or internet explorer files and just says this is the wrong file type. Any help?
when you get this .001 .002 .003… files …go to .001 properties and in general tab change file to be open with winrar or winzip…save changes…right click file and extract it …extracted file will be in .iso form

after installed the game.. go to PROPHET folder, then copy all files from there to installation folder. then play. it will fix ur problem “lucky2142”

to play skirmish use custom games LAN
TO PLAY SKIRMISH goto > custom games > LAN and play
does the LAN multiplayer work ??it didnt worked in the initial release from skidrow in 2011.
in the 2011 release when i tried to play LAN multiplayer with my brother ” name already exist ” error occured. is that fixed in this release ?pls we really want to play the LAN multiplayer

Before installing update, the skirmish doesn’t work (steam error). After installing update, the game doesn’t launch. What the hell is this?

click right to first rar and use UNRAR
then wait until extrat finish u will get ur iso file

i installed the game but i cant launch it steam is looking for some product key? please help…
Only campaing mode worked for me!
1 Download the game and make sure all the parts are there after download
2 You’ll need Winrar or 7zip to extract one of the .RAR files (the others will extract automatically)
3 Then you’ll see in the new folder extracted another file with the .RAR extention, repeat the step 2, and you’ll see the .ISO file.
4 Mount the ISO (You can use “Daemon tools” but some versions of windows can mount without installing a 3rd party software)
5 Install the game (For Noobs: Included the aditional software recommended in the installation final process / or you can find them later in the installation folder of the game named “install”)
6 Copy the content of the PROPHET folder (it’s in the mounted image) to the folder where you installed the game (…/Dawn of war retribution) and replace the original files when it asks.
WARNING: Don’t apply the patch cause the game won’t start and you’ll have to reinstall!!!
I couldn’t install the patch tho… I’m not a Noob I’m 26 years old and I have installed pirated games since I was 12 year old. I applied the update in the SAME INSTALL DIR (I double checked with different methods) but when I want to play the game I always get a “RELIC” error screen… and YES! then I applied the crack.
I think the update only workds for the gold vanilla version of game!
If someone has a fix for this error please share.
I also tried to run the game VIA steam online and offline… that didn’t fix the problem… The game won’t start with the update and without the update I can’t play skirmish mode because There’s no LAN Button! and when I try the PRIVATE option a pop up warning about steam offline appears and I can’t continue.
Don’t donwload this game if you want to play skirmish.
dont download this u can only play campaign,no multiplayer no skirmish.
there is any form to extract the dlc of this version of the game(prophet) and move them to the skydrow version? wich actually have the possibility to use them in lan matches

I guess the LAN option was removed when the game was taken off Games For Windows Live, so there is no way to skirmish

There’s no way to play Skirmish with this version of the game, only Campaign mode.

Guys. Update here if you where able to bypass the customer skirmish or any mods that allow us to bring back the “Local Area Network” selection or reupdate the game back where the system is still Games for windows live to allow us to play the Local Area Network.
Don’t Install the update!It makes the game un-functional…

follow these:
1) Select every winrar file, right click and go to “extract here”
2) When extraction is done, select the .001 file, right click, go to “open with” then pick winrar
3) Extract the iso to any folder of yours
4) Mount and instal normally
5) Remember to crack by taking the contents from “PROPHET” folder and pasting to the game’s instalation folder.
6) Right click and “start as an Admin” in “DOW” exe, not in desk’s shortcut
7)Enjoy
