Zombos appear or zomnos dont appear that is the question.
Zombies definitely still randomly spawn in your town, to be more exact on how it works it infects a random building (usually starting the first time after the first save) this next one occurec on day 17. it’s still manageable to win against, albeit you need an army early to deal with it.

Deleting Valve.ini doesnt work?
wasnt thee a fix in 0.7 versions?

Yep, deleting valve.ini (in game folder) fix those random zombie spawns 🙂
