   btw you may get alert in setup file in HOODLUM rls, its false positive, the way they coded their installer is somehow ur AV will not like it.

   It’s actually makes me wonder, what is it in that Hoodlum installer that triggers AV?
   I mean it’s a repack (installer) they made, so it shouldn’t triggers an alarm other than windows
   warning you it’s not certified registered program before running.

   After unpacking, game folder is 100% clean, they need to use better repacking method.
   Except that one time on Trine 4, it had file called Xiasd.dll, my AV removed it and the game
   worked fine without it.

   It’s pirated games and by coming here, assuming you already know the risks and how to deal
   with them, no harm on being extra cautious and you’re totally free for choosing not to download
   games that you feel uncomfortable with.

   So far for me, my AV alarmed me twice only on Hoodlum installer, but after unpacking they were
   clean.
   I’d say the majority never triggered my AV.

    I can’t believe people even waste computer resources running an anti virus. I’ve gotten a few bad ones in my day but it has never been from torrents, always going on the wrong porn sites because I must see how far the rabbit hole goes 😀

    I have not used an automatic AV for like 15 years and basically never have a problem. I have malwarebytes set to completely manual, and if I ever suspect a problem I run it. Even then, there’s usually no problem. I download stuff literally all the time. It kind of makes me wonder what kind of site you actually have to go to to get a virus nowadays.

    @Assmaster actually it is you and anyone else here that is pathetic. HOODLUM releases practically ALWAYS have a false positive in their installer. Hell, I have enabled most of them so I don’t get the flag anymore. You have absolutely nothing to worry about when the HOODLUM installer raises a flag with your AV. Better yet, if you are worried then maybe getting your games like this isn’t the best way to get them. How about purchasing them if it bothers you so fucking much.
