question to everyone who installed already, will this update require you to compile shaders again? the last update didnt force the shaders to compile from 0 , i wanna make sure i wont have to compile those darn shaders again they take way too long.

A note to players using NVIDIA 30-series graphics cards: please be sure to update to the GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 531.58.

Please post your results after using this update – some are reporting not even being able to play the game after this latest patch. Anybody here having this issue?
For crashes, if you’re running a 30xx series card, you’ll also have to install the newest drivers from Nvidia, they have a fix in there specifically for crashes with 30 series gpus in this game.
Worried about installing this update and then not being able to even open my game. A bigger patch is coming Friday, maybe waiting for that one is better?
anyone know where i need to move my save files now?
@Mocuta – Why do you need to move your save file? This update doesnt change the location of your sav file
update worked fine, can confirm it fixes xbox controller freezing every few seconds, controller is smooth now. no shader building from update, only if you update gpu drivers,
Pra não demorar mais que o normal na hora de criar shaders eu recomendo deixa o jogo na pior qualidade grafica e na menor resolução, feche tudo que não esteja usando, navegador e programas, deixe o PC quieto te garanto que vai ir bem mais rapido. vlw : )
dont know about the update changing anything but its the same for me. no crashes. just stutters and high temperature on the cpu usage.
Which .exe should i use? i have 3.
tlou-i.exe
tlou-i-l.exe and Launcher.
Ideas? Im using the first one. But all 3 works. Diferences?
You should use ‘launcher’.
The other ones, at least the tlou-i-I one, is for older cpus that are missing some sort of optimization that newer cpus have.

@Mocuta : go to C:\users\your user name\Saved Games\The Last of Us Part 1\Users
You will see folders with numbers as names. Check the “Date Modified” the older date will be your saved files. This game creates new profile when it updates new version, happened to me.
still hangs during shaders, i am now at 37% after so many crashes… yet to play the game 🙁 hopefully another few updates will make it playable for me

This game loves CPUs with a lot of cores!. 💪
Definitely worth it. I got fitgirl version Put update 1, 2 and now this. Huge improvement. Not overheating my GPU so much anymore and load time is MUCH faster. Better performance in game too. Less muddy textures.
For me, the game crashed after patch 1 and 2 with a message about graphics card problems.
I did something else. My processor (i7-13700) was overclocked but stable, after reducing the clock speed of all cores by 100MHz, so far everything is working properly – after patch 3 too 🙂
Much worse for me. Now this shit started crashing, which before it didn’t.
