    It downloads just fine, and installs just fine. Copied over the CODEX folder contents like usual. But the .exe won’t start up for some reason. I go to open it, get a little loading circle on my mouse, and then nothing. In task manager I can see the .exe trying to open, but then it just goes away. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Works on Windows 7 on my end. Game also needs to be put in compatibility mode for Windows Vista for it to boot up at all for some reason.

    I also downloaded this and put the crack in and everything, But when i launch it nothing comes up. Hell i even checked task manager and it runs but it closes after a few seconds, Did i mess something up or could the crack be broken or something?

    Okay, disregard what I said above. The game works on Windows 7 but may have some noticeable graphical bugs on that OS. I don’t know if this is the reason why Win7 isn’t listed as the minimum OS, the game is buggy or if it’s just due to my own hardware. Also, nevermind about the compatibility mode part, anti virus software is likely the main reason for this game not booting up for some people (including myself since I use avast) and you may need to temporarily disable it.

    Thank you CODEX really thank you guys. In year 2014 I searched wikipedia and then I saw it only for XBOX so I decided to foget all hopes and other expectations about this game. Really I never thaught this game will be on PC again. But after this PC release news from Microsoft I thaught I can start my expectations again. Now I can play this game specially with my brothers on my PC. Thank you again CODEX and good luck.

    I bought this game twice for the Xbox One and returned it twice at different times. Then I bought the season pass for the game and had access to the game via Xbox games with Gold. Now I get to play this messy yet innovative game on my PC. Huh.

    The game runs only after you exclude the install folder from your anti-virus. So, either disable it or add the game folder in the exceptions.

    Hey guys, i’m having the same problem as most people here, the game just doesn’t start, but i found out that if you keep trying to open the game it will eventually open, BUT, after character creation the game will get stuck on a loading screen loop, it might be just because i’m using windows 7, or that the crack doesn’t work, but if someone manage to get it working pls let us know.

    The game works perfectly fine, I had he same problem as you guys, the game stopped working after starting, the problem is your security software(anti-virus), just add the game to it’s exceptions then it will run, I use Bitdefender and I had to add the game executable to it’s advanced threat defense exceptions list. good luck.

    Guys i have found fix to not starting after using exe. Add the exe in game folder to exclusion in your antivirus and game will work, i added to exclusions in my avast and the game works

    So everything works fine until I get past setting up the brightness after clicking New Game, no matter what I do it immediately stops working and crashes to desktop. I don’t use anti-virus or anything and as others instructed I turned off firewall too to no avail. So yeah, I’m open to suggestions

    It doesn’t work for me on Windows 10 coz when I click start new game the game is crashing. I have Phenom II X6 4Ghz 8GB RAM and 6GB dedicated video ram. P.S: I have no antivirus and all firewalls disabled and DEP disabled and I even rebuild my indexes too via indexing options. From the Windows log file I’ve got this: Windows cannot access the file for one of the following reasons: there is a problem with the network connection, the disk that the file is stored on, or the storage drivers installed on this computer; or the disk is missing. Windows closed the program Sunset.exe because of this error.

    IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM ME: THIS GAME REQUARED SSE 4.1 instruction set. It’s the reason why this game crash after brightness screen for users with Phenom cpus and cpus that doesn’t support SSE 4.0-4.1-4.2 instruction set

    I did tests using the SDE Emulator, and really the problem of the game closing in the New Game is the absence of SSE 4.1 / 4.2 in the Phenom II processors .. I do not know if this problem is of the Game or the crack, but, who wants to test, it is just download the SDE Emulator and run the game from the emulator prompt

    The problem is with the Comodo firewall. You have to go to Advanced Settings – Advanced Protection. You have to check the box “Don’t detect shellcode injections in these applications”. Then click on “these applications” and select the sunset.exe file. It will launch now.
