   For me, the game launch but le lobby is weird, full of squares instead of letters, can’t do shit in it.

    if your game crash after start , go to the install folder\localization and rename your language PAK file in english_xml.pak .

    it worked for me .

    Thanks for the release !
    I got a problem, the game start properly with default little videos but once I reach the main game screen, it is just full of squares and rectangles. Uninstall and reinstall but nothing change… any idea to fixe the problem ?

    Para todos los que tengan en problema de los símbolos y cuadrados raros al empezar el juego, he conseguido solucionarlo:
    os vais a la carpeta del juego Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts\localization en la carpeta “localization” teneis vuestro archivo de idioma, sea cual sea el idioma solo teneis que renombrar esa carpeta por el ingles, en mi caso:
    ( spanish_xml.pak ) la pasamos a llamar ( english_xml.pak)

    For all those who have a problem with the symbols and rare squares when starting the game, I have managed to solve it:
    Go to the folder of the game Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts \ localization in the folder “localization” you have your language file, whatever the language you only have to rename that folder for English, in my case:
    (spanish_xml.pak) we call her (english_xml.pak)

    Once again :
    FOR THOSE WHO HAVE PROBLEMS JUST AFTER STARTS :

    go to install folder/localisation
    rename your language PAK in english_xml.pak

    (bonus : it still gives you the game in your language)

    Hi,

    For those who have the weird squares at the title screen, launch the game from C:\GOG Games\Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts\win_x64\SGWContracts, and it will work.

    Guys if you have the main screen issue (square everywhere), just do what Ori explained.
    Renamed the “language_xml.pak” file to “english_xml.pak”.
    I suggest you to make a backup of the original file as well.

    It fixed the problem on my side.

    si el juego se crashea o aparecen simbolos extraños al inicio,
    1-Buscar la carpeta de instalacion del juego (icono del juego,clic derecho, abrir ubicacion)
    2-Dentro de la carpeta “localization”
    3-Cambiar el archivo con terminacion *.pak por “english_xml.pak”

    Gracias a ori por la solucion
    Funciona!

    I needed help. I tried to install the game over and over again but it won’t work. the first time I have these problems. the file format is invalid ore unsupported………please help………i open it via poweriso app
