Tried my best, couldn’t fix the black screen.
What I found out was that the graphics preset file (after installation) is “bad” according to the QuickSFV program, and most likely the troublemaker.

Hey guys those who are looking for multiplayer can search up “monster hunter world steamworks fix” and there should be results… the fix is just some files which youll use to replace the current ones in your game directory. Open up steam and then run the game’s exe as an administrator (to increase your chances of it working, please do not open the game from any desktop shortcut). Once all this is done, you should be able to invite your steam friends… though i dont know if itll work with others who paid for the game, or just the ones who have the same version and is also using the steamworks fix method. ive never tried it with this game in particular, though in general, thats how steamworks fixes work/are applied.
The game crash on start, like the update. It seems don’t working.

Tested 09/17/19, black screen is temporary. Wait at least 5-10 mins game should work properly.
I alreayd know a solution when yo ugo black screen, press Alt+Del (you’ll go window mode) then later change your settings according to your resolution. and update your drivers software as well.

yo dudes, the Iceborn repack came out 3 days ago on fitgirl repack
for those having black screen on loading, go to where the game is installed, find the file
“graphic_option”
open it with notepad and change the line
“ScreenMode=Borderless” to “ScreenMode=Fullscreen” or “ScreenMode=Windowed ”
depending if fullscreen did not fixed the black screen, switch to windowed, if windowed is selected then edit the line
“Resolution=1920×1080” to a lower setting “Resolution=1280×720” or “Resolution=1440×900”
if the fullscren / windowed trick did not fixes the black screen, then try updating video drivers, however, remeber that you need a quite powerful computer to run the game, maybe the issue is your computer ITSELF, so go and check if your computer complies with the bare minimum

if the game runs, and loads up the title screen, you might no be still be able to play the game (it happens to me, the game loads the title screen, but reaches 90% of the “loading of the game” and then crashes), so, here’s a trick
go to video settings and adjust your video to mid settings, then allow the game to utilize the
FidelityFX+CAS, this overrides the whole recognition setting for the video card, and allows the game to run, you migth lose some graphical quality or some fps, but is better than nothing at all
Aw! damn! this is a fitgirl repack.. i hate Fitgirl.. maybe she’s able to compress 100gb into 30Gb, but it TAKE 2 DAYS!!!! to unpack the game… wtf is that time!
You save no time with fitgirl.. it would take me less time to load the entire game + install it than installing the repack from Fitgirl.
