need to install steam first 1- Copy MicrosoftFlightSimulator .SteamRip\GreenLuma\NormalMode files – GreenLuma_2020_x86.dll, GreenLuma_2020_x64.dll, GreenLumaSettings_2022.exe, DLL Injector.exe and DLLInjector.ini to your Steam folder , x64launcher.exe to the bin folder.
Open the DLLInjector.ini file in MicrosoftFlightSimulator.SteamRip\GreenLuma\NormalMode and change the path to your
Exe= X :*\Steam\Steam.exe and Dll= X :*\Steam\GreenLuma_2020_x86.dll
2- Run as administrator Launch DLLInjector .exe
Go to the Roaming folder
Start > Run > %UserProfile% > OK > AppData > Roaming
Delete the HOODLUM and Microsoft Flight Simulator folders
Transfer Microsoft Flight Simulator to Roaming from the archive.
Go to the Microsoft Flight Simulator folder and edit the UserCfg. opt file specifying the path to the HLM_Packages folder
3-Steam will start and show Flight Simulator 2020 in the games list
4-Click the Play button.

Kiya’s right, the game does work, although you need to jump through a lot of hoops to get there. Get familiar with GreenLuma2023 and you’ll get it to work. Unfortunately, this version can’t stream Bing maps and photogrammetry, so it’s not worth the time spent installing and the massive amount of disk space it occupies.

What the gentleman above said is that plugging a controller causes the game to crash if the HOODLUM crack is used. I wonder if this issue has been fixed in the newer versions or if this issue is because of the crack.
Ok here’s what I found out. The issue is in the crack. The only other way I found to get it to work AND allow controllers to be used is by using SteamEmulator, you can find that on github. Download the file and extract the contents of “experimental_steamclient”, configure ColdClientLoader and then just execute steamclient_loader.exe and you’re ready to play.

Im back again with another update the game works with that crack but have a problem with the controller, whatever i managed to get the game working with green Luma perfectly and this is what i did:
1- install steam on disk drive that have more than 320 GB free / install and login
2- inside the MicrosoftFlightSimulator.SteamRip folder go to green Luma / Normalmode Files. and copy all the files from that file including a Steam folder and Bin Folder + AppList Folder and paste them on your steam installation Folder .
3-Go inside MicrosoftFlightSimulator.SteamRip and move the Microsoft Flight Simulator game folder into Steam installation folder the path will be like this Steam\steamapps\common (to not be confused it is not in Steam Library but steam installation folder )
4- after coyping the game into Coomon Folder go inside Microsoft Flight Simulator Game Folder and Then HLM packages, inside this folder you will find a zip or rar file extract it in same folder, after extract delete Rar/zip Folder
4- download msfs 2020 fix from here : https://thenewscasts.com/view/ukeq
5- extract the fix folder and copy Hoodlum and Microsoft flight simulator folder and paste them in Roaming folder in disc C: under this path : C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming. but you have to check view hidden items to see The AppData folder, otherwise it will not be visible
6-after copying Hoodlum and Microsoft Flight Simulator inside This Last Microsoft Flight Simulator open the file Cfg.opt with Notepad and down in the bottom you will find InstalledPackagesPath Change it to “D:\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\HLM_Packages” you can See D: because my steam is intalled in Disc D:.
7- after changing the path on Cfg.opt make save and close it.
8- Go back to Steam/steamapps/common/MicrosoftFlightSimulator inside this folder you will find DLL injector.ini open it also with notepad and change the paths to this if you steam are in disk D:
Exe = D:\Steam\Steam.exe
CommandLine =

Dll = D:\Steam\GreenLuma_2020_x86.dll
then save and close.
9- open Dllinjector.exe with administaror and the game will be injected steam will load and then open and if all was correct the game will show on your library and you good to go.

TIPS:
– You can use the lastest version of GreenLuma 2024, works fine and shows the game as ready to play in the Steam app. Just google it.

– For anyone having the “loading screen bar” issue, and you have thoroughly gone through all the mentioned steps in whatever the version you happen to be trying, the solution is to move the “Steam” folder, under unzipped “Official” folder (where all the game data is) to the actual Steam folder, generated by the Steam app itself. You’ll see the latter is empty.
Basically move \HLM_Packages\Official\Official\Steam > \HLM_Packages\Official\Steam
After doing so the loading screen effectively loads the game and… presto!
