The game does work just fine. Stop lying and saying bullsh**. If any of you guys can’t run the game, it is beacuse of your PC.
I repeat: THE GAME WORKS FINE!!!
The ‘legal.ogv’ fix worked for me. I was getting a black screen, game wouldn’t even run, by replacing legal.ogv with a blank legal.ogv file then it skips the intro vid & also fixes the crash for me – I can now play the game! Here’s how to do it: in one of the posts here:

Actually, easiest way to do it is:
1) Find legal.ogv file in /Metro 2033 Redux/2033 folder.
2) Copy legal.ogv file to somewhere ‘safe’ on your system where you can find it later if you need to. Delete the original legal.ogv file in the 2033 folder.
3) Open Notepad, click Save As, then save as legal.ogv. This creates a blank ogv file. Save this file in the /Metro 2033 Reux/2033 folder.
4) You should now be able to launch the game, and you also won’t have the long intro video (legal.ogv is the intro video I believe – that’s what’s been causing the hangs & crashes when people have been getting black screens on startup).

Installed it, starts just fine and the intro vid is in english, but when I enter, the menu is in Russian. anyway to change this?
To change the menu text to English simply go to C:\Users\”User’s Name”\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro Redux\140000100000001 at user.cfg. View AppData by checking view hidden files under property. Open user.cfg with any text editor such as notepad/ MS word/ wordpad. Scroll to lang_text ru and change it to us -> lang_text us and SAVE IT. Reopen the game and the menu should be in English.

Sei que esse jogo é antigo, e ninguém mais fala dele, mas eu baixei para fazer uma maratona METRO, só que já no primeiro jogo, o REDUX, na parte que pega o galão de combustível para explodir a passagem, o jogo simplesmente fecha, sem nenhuma mensagem de erro. Alguém teve alguma problema parecido e conseguiu resolver?
