FYI, they didn’t crack DENUVO, they somehow use (non denuvo EXE) for DEMO, to make it work with full game, and they unlock whole game mission using EXE file. some games this trick works for them, including this game as well

Apparently, the game won’t allow you to load your games otherwise after you close it. This fixes that.

Tested it now. With the default exe, once you close the game and open it again, you cannot load your saved game.
That sendspace file solved that problem. Can’t say if it will affect the game in the long run though.
I tested it and it works. I asked hours ago some people in this comment section and I download the file. Works perfectly.

Save games disappear after you close the game. They exist in the save folder on the drive but the load option is just grayed out in the menu.

If you are paranoid just go to the forum (CSRIN) and download from there.
IF you have an old save it may not work. You can try go to:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SEGA\METAPHOR\Steam
There re will be 2-3 folders with saves. Each folder is a different version of the game. Try to copy the content of one to the other.

This worked i found my save I just had to open the game up where I couldn’t load my save make a new save. Then go back to my old save and rename it to what it created. Then it worked I didn’t lose my game thank you so much.

Any one whi applied the exe patch and still can’t load your game, it’s because after the patch is applied the save file name is different.
At first the save file name look like this
save_0000
save_0001
After the patch is applied, the naming pattern change to
save_demo0000
save_demo0001
So if you want your patched game to able to detect your old save game, you need to rename your old save file to save_demo0001
at least it works for me

Guys, this works pretty well. Played for like two hours last night, was able to load my saves after closing out the game. Thanks to @Deep for posting the save fix, download that save fix and apply it and the save issue is fixes. The file is called metaphor demo fix by riku v2. Try it if you’re having the save issue.

For those of you who can’t recover your saves even with the send file space it’s because of the save filenames
Here’s what you have to do

If you’ve already played before, this means, like me, you need to load your save
By default, the files from the softlock are named to save0000.sav
With this exe they will have to renamed to save_demo000x.sav when is the digit of your save
Win + R and write appdata and click enter
Go to Appdata/roaming/sega/metaphore/steam/…randomnumberfolder../ at this point, you will see your save, rename accordingly save_demo0000.sav or save_demo0000.sav or …. save_demo0016.sav.
You have to rename each individual save if you have multiple, you can thank me later

I dont blame you I was paranoid also. But when @Your game assistant posted his post I followed his directions and some how i got it to work. his save names i had to use them and it worked after that.
