Hahahahaha I love when developers make the mistake of updating the game and forgetting denuvo in the new exe. These mistakes, which don’t happen often enough , are all that’s left of the AAA game piracy scene. With empress seemingly forever gone now, it’s both sad and hilarious that the only time we get a AAA game cracked is when the developers crack it themselves on accident.

Correction: the denuvo license of this game expired, therefore it was removed automatically and not by accident/mistake. Many other games remove denuvo after a certain time period because denuvo charges developers 0.5$ per unit sold or 25000$ per month and once the number of sales decreases, it will no longer be profitable to keep denuvo. So at the end, the real losers are the ones who actually purchased this game.
That is not correct seeing as steam still shows the game as having Denuvo

Im just glad the ones who couldnt get their hands on it can now play this amazing game,, it truly is an absolutely epic first attempt at a soulslike from a new studio, one of the closest to an actual FromSoftware game.
The Steam page will show you the DRM tag and I have seen this case for other games that removed denuvo (i.e. Team Sonic Racing). but the point is the fact that the SteamDB website indicates the removal of denuvo from the v1.5 release.
