Hello, I share with you my problem which is an impossibility to launch the game “Halo Wars 2”, it does not appear in the windows menu and there are missing DLLs: “MSVCP140_APP.dll”; “vccorlib140_app.dll”; “VCRUNTIME140_APP.dll”; “CONCRT140_APP.dll Can you see this problem?

@Kasper Unfortunately, it didn’t change anything even after a reboot and having it installed again afterwards. I’m going to uninstall it, too bad I won’t play it. Too bad, because I love Halo Wars. Take care of yourself.

hmm if we actually read the intructions it does work…
Just enable in settings the developer> Intall the Game > Play
you can disable developer after instaling.

Just found the fix, the instruction is WRONG!
FIX: YOU NEED TO OPEN UWP HELPER > THEN PRESS 1 AND ENTER!!
Then you’ll see the game on start menu

It was difficult to fix it but for all. BIGG FIIXXXXXX
Before u install it u go in your windows settings – update & security > devmode > enable
make yourself a new fake signup.live.com acc. > Use in your WIndows the same fake acc.
While before u start it, check that u once downloades xbox.live log there in with your fake acc,
stay logged in. Install the Game after Installed, restart computer > login windows with new fake acc,
go now in your Game Folder check there for a BatchFile Named UvpHelper. Start is as Admin. >>>>>> Press 1 <<<<<<< now u go on your Windows Startmenu and the first Programm / App will be listed with Halo Wars 2.
Once u Started it & here comes the big Issue. Normaly it try to login your Fake Account onto their Server, but if u didnt done the first steps (with downloading once Xbox.live) u will miss important xbox-life-link files that connect your acc with their Server. Soo when u done all what i have typed, u will be avaibler to play it. Even Multiplayer Avaible.
Make Sure when u start the Game with the Batch File ( UvpHelper ) u closed the xbox.live Programm.
HF & GL took me a whole Day to get this fixed but most importantly i Downloaded it three Times cuz of this Forum Support, and couldnt believe my eyes that the Fix Instructions almost are capable.
campaign not working 4 me.
Shows intro and after that a black screen and some ominous music playing in the background.

Sure u can use your original Acc. but there is always the risk of gettin banned with that account cuz of pirate version. the Multiplayer is still stable and make a lot of fun, but never say never. at least the Online Support runs with Online-Fix so its a lot saver than other pirate versions. Use whatever u want but i prefer fake acc.
