add the game to non steam library and play it. but before that right click on game icon and click capability and remove check so it wont run as admin. then run from steam and controller will work.
SNK, do you know if this solution works with batttlefield 2042? I was using REWASD to play, but then EA blocked mapping. Not event NON STEAM solution worked… Do you know any bypass?
SNK, Update from my last comment. Thank you very much for your comment. After 1 month without playing BF 2042 I managed to play. What I did is to check run as admin. The compatibility is unchecked. Then I add the game as non steam and run from there.
I tried before ran from steam, but with the checkbox run as admin unchecked. Now is working just checking this box

if your controller spins uncontrollably , go to properties – compatibility and check off run as administrator . add game you want to play to steam. Launch steam in big picture mode and manually launch game from big picture mode !

Westerners cannot create Japanese games. This game is pure, unadulterated dogshit. The mechanics are weak and watered down, with choppy animation. Facial animations are trashtastic, and climbing is total AssCreedy. This is why I hate wack-assed Western titles. No patience, rushed product of a abysmal title, and the developers are nothing but unfocused geeks who live off of Doritos.

This patch has an audio bug where the audio will cut out constantly, if you go back on the steam discussion board everyone is complaining about it earlier and it was fixed recently. It is maddening to the point where it will most likely cause 80% of anyone playing to stop until the recent patch is cracked. It also doesn’t even start occurring until later on in the game close to act two. Literally all the discussions board on steam during the time when this bug was in the game was pages of threads for it alone.
