Yep he was basically trying to start a cult, quite akin to Scientology in it’s modus-operandi. If you criticized him or his methods, he tried to destroy your reputation by calling you anti-semitic. Did it even to Jung. I suspect that his relevance today is only kept alive in a bid to garner the credit of fathering modern psychology by his tribe members against Jung who is the real father of the science.

Might note, that Jung wasn’t much better, at least theory-wise. Plus some of the theories of Freud do make sense, like the citation above. That statement is actually true – no matter what ideology one follows. It is true for any product. Sell your software too cheap and people won’t by it.
As for Freud’s dream interpretations supposedly all being sexual – he refutes that himself in a footnote of a revision of – well I forgot, it has been decades. He does tho. It was actually his enemies portraying him to be oversexualizing everything, which he doesn’t. That he does is still taught in Universities today tho – and his theories aren’t. I would know – I think my lecturers mentioned Freud in like 2 or 3 sentences, and nevermore after. That’s in ALL of my psychology courses. Not really defending him, but to get to the truth one has to be truthful.
Jung is the real father of science? Go figure ….
Psychoanalysis is a hermetic cult whose followers believe talking about sexuality and making interfaces with other human sciences is their privilege; no other theory can do so. But all they do is drink wine, smoke grass and peep at cocks. Also fascinated on the abstract aspects of the theory.
They “conveniently” forget Freud was quite empirical for quite a while.
