you must righ clip on the EFT folder properties and uncheck read only atribute and accept. that work for me

For now more and more mods are pumped out into current version including one that brings some content (items mostly) from v1.0

Guys try follow those steeps.
1: Extract all game files
2: Open SPT file and start SPT.Server (wait untill server starts)
3: Comeback to EscapeFromTarkov file and start EscapeFromTarkov (without the image of the game)
can someone help me please, server is up and runningg and i downloaded and installed everything but when i want to launch the game it says it isnt installed and something about BSG

There’s BAT file in the folder that bypass that requirement
Hey so I downloaded the net runtimes and ran the BAT file, but it still gives me the “EFT isnt installed message”
The same thing for me. I’m used to run a batch file called “register.bat” but I can’t find it in this version. The batches of this version doesn’t fix this issue maybe they patched the game check and the old bypass isn’t working anymore

What folder do you add mods in?
Just unzip the mods you downloaded, the mod wil be already in the right folder names when you unzip them.
just drag and drop the folders into your main EFT folder where BepInEx and SPT are located.
Run the SPT.Server.exe and you can check if the mods are loaded., any red txt will be an error. check if your mods are outdated.
Hey so I got the runtimes and ran the BAT file, which just flashed a command prompt for a split second and then tried SPT but it gave me the “EFT isnt installed, ensure BSG launcher can run it” warning, could it be some antivirus stuff? I’m running windows defender and so far had no problems with games
check the folder property, uncheck the read only. right click the .bat file run it as administrator.
right click the SPTserver.exe run it as admin, wait for tthe green txt. leave the server running! right click the SPT.Launcher.exe run it as admin. do not close the server and the launcher untill you quit the game.

The game crashes when loading the map
so uh… are there any game breaking bugs in this version? is everyone having a good time? i’m asking because one of the way previous versions had a bug where if you extracted as a scav you wouldn’t get anything you actually extracted with. and some other versions had bugs with recipes not unlocking as quest rewards etc. i’m just trying to understand how this version is overall.
and what about mods? anyone has any issues with the mods as long as the mod version matches the spt version?
i’m gonna come back to this comment in a few days to check the responses so please reply your opinion guys. cheers
allright so i installed this and it works. haven’t played much yet or tried mods. but just wanted to leave my own instructions here.
1- you definitely need the .NET runtime packages. links are shared all over this page multiple times. just install them. you will have to install 2 seperate things. just download and install. that’s it.
2- when you download this game it will be a zip file, extract it and you get a folder. right click the folder, uncheck the “read-only” flag. that’s it.
3- do not run the “EscapeFromTarkov” file with the blue EFT image on it. you ain’t launching the game that way.
4- run the imageless bat file named “EscapeFromTarkov” first. this does something i don’t fully understand but it is required before you can start playing.
5- after that go into the folder named SPT. run the “SPT.server” file. wait for it to do its thing until the green text appears.
6- after that in the same folder, run the “SPT.launcher” with the blue icon. create your user name and choose game edition. then click play.
7- if you cannot follow these steps, god help you.
This is the latest eft version before 1.0…but its unsure if spt is going to get a 1.0 version due to many problems (story mode, game files, engin etc).
I have no problems with this version, but i only use my pmc and dont play scav.
i’m runnig 17 mods, without any problems, and presige is working also.
Install the game, start it up once. close the game and update the spt to the lates version. then start the game once, close the game and add the mods you want to run.
Be sure to add mods for the right spt version.
Some mods dont works well together, so add them one at the time, and test it out.

SPT v4.0.12 does’t work at all. I tried running the file “Run me first, if the online-version is not installed.bat”, but it doesn’t work, the launcher says:
“Escape from Tarkov isn’t installed on your computer. Ensure BSG Launcher can start the game before starting SPT”

nvm, I just used the old version of “Run me first, if the online-version is not installed.bat”
but now I have a new problem – endless loading at startup.
spt 4.0.12 should work, i am playing with it right now. i first installed the main release on this page which was 4.0.10 i think. one of the comments on this page lists the link for 4.0.12. i downloaded that and simply replaced the files. unless something else was messed up in your installation, it should work out of the box. if i were you i would try a fresh install.
i can also confirm that i encountered no bugs so far in vanilla or mods. the mods i am using:
– better keys
– deminvincibility
– vertical hideout menu
– kitteh welcome messages
– medical sicc case
– merge consumables
– battle ambiance
– server value modifier
– chamber ammo info
– wiki links
i am still installing mods. so far everything worked out of the box. the mod must match your spt version. frame rate is fine, no crashes. everything works as expected.
The endless loading at startup will not run the game. you made a error someware.
Make a fresh install of the game download form above on this page.
Uncheck the read only mark on the Escape for tarkov folder, right click the EscapeFromTarkov.bat file and run it as administrator.
You need to run the SPT.Server.exe and SPT.Launcher.exe in administrator mode!
Wait for the green txt in the SPT.Server.exe, then run the SPT.Launcher.exe in admin mode!
If the SPT.Server.exe shows red txt there is an error, Yellow txt will be a warning.
Leave the SPT.Server.exe and SPT.Launcher.exe open untill you quit playing the game!
Run the game once, you do not have to go into a raid. Just create your character and acces the hideout for the welcome txt. go back to your character and. close the game, server and launcher.
After closing the Game, Launcher and Server,
Download 4.12 from the direct downoad link on https://github.com/sp-tarkov/build/releases
unzip it and drag and drop it in you main EFT folder where BepInEx and SPT folders are located.
Overwrite the files.
Run the SPT.Server.exe in admin mode, Check if SPT is updated to 4.12.
Wait for the green txt, then run the SPT.Launcher.exe in admin mode.
Leave the server and launcher open untill you quit the game.
If you want to add mods, close the game, server and launcher
drag and drop the mods into your main Escape for tarkov folder, where BepInEx and SPT folders are located.
Check if your mods are compatible with your SPT version.

complete mess to run it for first time, but it works now surprisingly well, just make sure you download the required files or the server.exe will NOT work.

I don’t this 1.0 will ever happen. they got problems with the story line and the new engine.

Anyone got it running on Linux?
I have the server and launcher running on Linux Mint (cinnamon). but i think the .bat file is not fixing the start up. I have changed the .bat to a.sh file but no success yet.
I cant run Raids with scavs when i try to pick scav and choose map it change to my main charcter
does anyone got any solution
