   how on earth have adventure games degenerated so much? where are the new “mysts” and “amerzones” of our time??? all we get are these bullshit walk sims

   Good graphics, not WOW, but OK. It’s good to walk, I walked to a cliff, I walked to a town, I walked in the woods, I walked in the roads, I walked in the beach, I walked along the river, I walked on the cities, I walked during the night, I walked under the hot sun, I walked with animals, I walked over a bridge, I walked up the hill, I also walked downhill, I walked from town to town, I walked around the giant tree, I walked around the tower, I walked through the map and it was great.

   @Constantinos: Walk simulators = lazy gamers = young gamers = easier target = more sales.

   Modern developers basically don’t bother creating a masterpiece, since they can just code a walking sim and cash in way easier.

    @Warwitch every single thing you said was wrong and makes wonder if you have ever played any walking sim. You basically say that walking simulators are aimed at younger, mainstream audiences which is the exact polar opposite of the truth. The walking sim genre is an incredibly niche genre that your typical mainstream gamer will call “boring” and I think no game of this genre has ever gone mainstream. These types of games focus more on the true potential of video games as the ultimate art medium and there are multiple masterpieces in the genre such as Gone Home, Edith Finch and Stanley Parable.
