Are you using Nvidia graphics card? I took a quick gander over at the community hub, and apparently, Nvidia users must switch their application settings to “Application Controlled”. I did not use Nvidia, but you might still want to try it out.

Works perfectly. @Abbadon&everyone else wondering about the language: The text/everything you need to read to be able to play is in English, the voice acting is in Japanese. @Denzy: are you using a wireless controller with the adapter or a wired controller? @xewr43: Game comes with pre-order DLCs I believe, the rest will probably come out in a seperate update like what happened with Dynasty Warriors 8 Extreme Legends.
I did notice during character creation some of the character’s weapons were blacked out as if they were glitched, although in game everything shows up perfectly. Thank you very much for this quick release, you guys are the best (:
when i started the game it always show me a error saying i need a vcom100.dll fixed but after the game loads it stuck in black screen how i fix that ?
For those asking, yes, this is the download for the English game. However, there is no Dub for this version of the game, but English interface and subtitles are available.

@Yama: its very very very very easy. Download the Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires.iso, use a program such as daemon lite to install by mounting the iso (simply double click on the iso file once you have installed daemon lite or any other program.) Now in my computers right click on the Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires.iso file, it should be in one of the DVD drives area right under Local Disk C: or whatever you have. Look for the Codex folder or it could also be named Crack folder I don’t remember. Copy the contents of that folder and finish installing the game.When Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires has finished installing into C:/Program Files/Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, drag and drop all the contents of Codex/Crack folder into C:/Program Files/Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires. Start the game and enjoy, I’m not sure if I can explain it any better than this, if any problems let me know.
@ree: that’s a feature in game. You can use 2 weapons in combat and switch in between.

What to do if the game is completely glitched out..
I mean when marrying someone, a huge chest is in place of the characters and you can’t even see them. The things happens in battle too, sometimes, things just appear, disappear, but you can still get the items. And the user’s weapon of choice too, if near a officer, your weapon will be in their hands and sometimes their weapon is in your hand, even steam bun, boots, and the defense armor..
Has anyone gotten the wireless 360 controller to work?

I’m a huge fan of the Warriors series and 8 XL was awesome but this Empires here just s… badass. So many stupid bugs, such stupid A.I., too easy, bad graphics (hey PS2, is it you?) because (so they said) of the dynamic weather system which looks crap.
If I’d have spend 50 bucks on that I’d be really pissed.
btw. why do people in year 2015 not just use 7zip to open .iso files, who needs daemon tools or sth. like that anymore? 😀
Hm. It appears I have a problem – every time I try to play Empire mode (the main point of the game), the game crashes on the loading screen after finalising who you’re playing as.
Free mode works perfectly fine. Character creation? perfectly fine. I can’t see any other glitches or problems, but I can’t stop it from crashing seconds after that loading screen appears.
A speedy reply would be /most/ appreciated.

I’m not sure if this is the proper place to be requesting this, or should it be in the “Request Game” section, but may I ask for the recently released DLCs to be added as a patch? I mean, it will be too much of a hassle if we have to download the entire game all over again just for DLC… All the ones in Steam.
Moreover, I would like to point out that the torrent link is dead. I managed to download the game through One FTP, but just getting that out there, so those who are authorized may re-upload the torrent.

@DynastyWarriorsCaoCao and @Help I had the same problem but i fixed it. Just copy all the content from CODEX and paste it in the installed folder ( Copy and Replace). Launch the game! It worked for me! hope this help!!

I have weapons appearing on characters out of nowhere during the battles, eye swapping between the characters during the sworn brothers scene, floating eyes during event scenes, hair\hat flying near the character. This stuff happens only to the custom officers.
How do I fix this? I have ASUS laptop with an integrated Intel videocard.
I’ve figured out that the problem is with the Intel HD Graphics. Turned the driver off and launched the game (which was hella slow). But turning the Intel driver off doesn’t really solve the problem. I’ve already tried meddling with settings and downgrading driver, but no luck.
Is there a way to update this game WITHOUT having to go online? The game works, it’s just that they recently updated this game’s firmware to add more features and stuff. So yeah, is it even possible?

So i got everything in the right place but when i launch the game it black screens and crashes. I’ve also changed the compatibility mode to vistas, windows 7 and 8 with the same results. Any help is appreciated. Im also running windows 10.
@ people who launch game and steam opens. When you mount the iso open the iso and find the CODEX folder copy and paste that into the game folder.

And for fuck sake, it’s not Japanese but Chinese. Dynasty Warriors is a Chinese franchise of games based on Chinese empire history. Names are Chinese in the game, weapons are Chinese and not even once you get samurai or ninja as a warrior….Damn…

For those who experiences graphic glitches (e.g. floating eyes) YOU MUST BE USING INTEL GPU. UPDATE YOUR DRIVER please, from Intel website.
For patches, use the 3DMgame’s patches. They are compatible with Codex.
Setup.exe was long because you UAC (User Account Control) and Smartscreen is TURNED ON. TURN OFF THEM ALL BEFORE INSTALLING!

thank you so much !! …. but i have a problem, when i save game, after choosing “create new data”, it just skips and if i try to load game, it says “data cannot be found”, so i can’t save my progress. 🙁 . I have try the save game link in the codex file (…\remote) and it is empty 🙁
