   So they grabbed the actually good and enjoyable Dungeon Defenders 1, removed most of its features, made everything be in separate screens because why the hell not, and then added a handful of bugs (locked ten items? Want to “sell all” the rest, which is what the interface tell you it will do? Nope, fuck you, that button is selling all of your items, locked or not!)

   Frankly, Dungeon Defenders Awakened? Well, put it back to sleep. It is an old, tired horse, and DD Eternity and DD2 already kicked it hard enough, no need for more kicks.

   I mean, “modern game” and “class-locked character gender” cannot be used to describe the same game. This game is far from modern as it is. Maybe with two or three more years of *good* development (something the devs lack, judging by the fail that was Eternity and the cash grab that was DD2,) it will actually be as enjoyable as the first game. Maybe with a new, competent dev team? Yeah.

   Kyojin and PhoeniX, you show an ignorance above the average for this site. I guess this game would look pretty ridiculous to people used to calling dating sims “games.”

    @Revolta I had the exact same problem, i played for 6 hours and lost progress.
    But i just noticed that if you start it as Administrator it will save your progress.
    Have a good day and enjoy.

    It is great and yes when you start the game normally it doesnt save your progress.
    it does save your progress if you start it as administrator. To start the game automatically in administrator mode, Right click on the icon, click on properties, go to compatibility tab, at the bottom check the box “Run this program as an administrator” and hit apply. now it will save the progress and you dont have to think about it

    Warwitch is right. I played dd2 and loved it.

    This is crap. They’re put glow on EVERYTHING, so much the dungeons hurt your eyes.
    No more collecting “sets” of items (wood or leather or plate or chain)
    Sounds seem a bit mushy and unclear
    Graphics….I liked the original better.

    I’ve completed the first 4 levels of the campaign but got bored and deleted it.

    Somehow, even after all these years, dd1 is more fun.
