Board chairman: Okay guys, what sort of game mashup are we gonna do this year?

Members: Tron and Wipeout. Nobody will even notice.

Board chairman: ^^ okay… then what about the name? What are we gonna call it? It’s gotta be something inconspicuous.

Members: Let’s just name it after something about distance. They’ll get it eventually. Some might even find it hilarious and original…

Board chairman: *sigh* Fckin… fine! And what about next year?

Members: We could try making a Truck Simulator mashup and maybe some mechs that are totally not from Titanfall and call it ‘Destination’. They’ll love it.

@Septimus Raven, have you actually given the game a go? I was pretty dubious about it, but after downloading and trying, it’s pretty damn addictive.

@ParasiteB An Indie Arcade Racing game with minimum effort input for maximum profitability expectations… addictive… ?

But to answer your question, no, i didn’t try it. I make it a personal habit not to go for things that are obvious rip-offs of several different things by studios that started existing only recently and only have ONE product available on the market. And it’s not even original. Idk about you but i have a limited lifespan and i don’t plan on wasting it trying A/B/C products that are just copies/mashups of other things with only one or two different things to them. Or my personal favorite, the endless sequels that don’t even matter anymore: just cause 4 was pointless, the rest of the assassins creed games that are awful and not worth trying or maybe final fantasy MCMXLII, just to give a few examples. I’m not an immortal and i’ll be damned if i’m gonna waste my time with pointless sht that nobody cares about, shameless copy-cat indie arcade racing games included.

And on the topic of dubious, Warframe. I “knew of it” before i tried it, but like you i was reluctant to give it a go. Until i did, and i can confirm that it’s pretty damn addictive. And has the added bonus of being made by devs who actually give a sht about their product, who care if their ideas are original or if their product is filled to the brim with creativity. You should try it (or not. it really is addictive, i’m not joking).

@Septimus Raven, have you ever thought about maybe not being maybe chilling out? I mean, I get what you’re saying, I really do. But, fuck… The amount that you’ve written over this game… I couldn’t imagine putting that much into an indie game that we get for free.

It’s just a game. Whether it be a rip-off of old classics, or someone that’s paying an homage to a game that they loved when they were growing up… It’s just a game.

For real, maybe you should try it out before calling it “minimum effort”. You can’t have a valid opinion on a game, unless you’ve tried it out for yourself. To do so, makes you look ignorant. Kruger levels of ignorance.

No one wants to be a Kruger.

One thing I find really amusing is how you say about wasting time… I’m no-one to talk about this, but isn’t that what we all do when we play games?

I’m sorry, but that really kicked me. 😀

@Septimus Raven, does Nitronic Rush ring a bell? Because it is the other game made by the developers, the prequel to this one (and is 100% free), and has very good reviews (just like this one), but I guess you are the only one who is right, and the thousands of positive reviews from people who actually PLAYED the game (kinda necessary to play a game to review it) are all wrong. Now sir, with that kind of power you should become the president! Knowing things before you even try them must mean that you have future sight or some kinda mental powers. You are unique and very special, and you know you are right and everyone else is wrong. Now try for the elections! I am sure I will vote you.

@Brobama you have a problem, but being mad at me for some thing or some other thing is not going to help at fixing that problem. Just because somebody doesn’t have the same opinion with you does not mean you should be mad at them; that would just breed unnecessary conflict and there’s plenty of that going around already.

Also, weirdly enough, while walking down the street, i actually had people occasionally pointing at me and telling me i’m going to be a president. That happened at least once, that i remember (it could be more but paranoia’s getting the better of me atm). So yea, the Matrix and all of it’s glitches… now there are at least 2 persons that told me i’m going to be a president… that i know of…

Also, about the whole future sight and everything. I did use to dream about things happening days ahead of time (usually was just tests, bullies at school, being dead or dieing in parallel universes about 20 different ways. you know… the usual) and that kind of stuff, but they stopped after a while. Guess the glitch got fixed or something. Thanks for reminding me of that btw (i’m being sarcastic now. just when i nearly forgot about that part of my life you had to go and make me remember). Also now that i remember correctly of all the times kids from allover the place laughing at me for believing in aliens, when they themselves went to church every sunday and fckin’ worshiped one of them, so yea, the hypocrisy going around. But it’s fine, i’m going to forget about it again pretty soon anyways.

But in the end i guess i wanted to tell you not to make a habit in antagonizing people on the internet, myself included. Because for all you know, they probably don’t even exist… myself included. And if they don’t exist… well, then why are you trying to get into a conflict with them? Food for thought.

Also, stop being sarcastic. People hate that.
