First person shooters are usually using an “floating” layer in front of the player camera, to simulate “holding weapons”, which are not clipping into or through objects, in this game, you can hold a weapon up right near your chest, while your shadow does not reflect that posture at all.
This is a very clear indicator for their lazy work on the player model and ani-behavior.
