Secondly, the description is very fucked up, totally false information, first of all YOU CAN SAVE your progress and you dont need to play private lobby, you can play normal lobby too, so just join random lobby as soon you can.

I can’t find the “SSELauncher” anywhere and if I start the game from the only executable I see, it tells me steam is offline and only gives me the option to exit the game.
Do I need steam up to run it? And if I do that, is there a chance I’ll get tagged in some way by steam?
Motorola, i understand english, i’m telling you it doesn’t save any progress/item/level. I do not play on “kill your friends” i play on “be the survivor/killer” and as i level up/progress it works fine, as i restart the game everything goes back to 0, and i lose everything

Well, i dont know what else i have to tell you, i have retsarted my pc several times and i am stil level 2 and i have all my items, i honestly dont know what the fuck are you doing with your profile.
Did you renamed your nickname after the restart?
If you change nickname every time you restart, you lose your progress and start the EULA again.
As i said, i have all my progress, it is saved, i have all my items and XP, maybe it is a bug of the game, you are unlucky, i have all my save and i never changed nickname after the restart.
And by the way, alot of people are even higher level than me, so i am not the only one with saved progress, i dont know why some of you are not saving, i guess yo uare unlucky really, maybe the game is bugegd or you are changing your nickname every time.
I have read on Steam discussion that it can happen that your profile reset, you have to use your nickname with ALPHANUMERICAL characters, hope it help!!! and dont forget : DONT PLAY PRIVATE MATCH, IT IS — USELESS.

about the SSELauncher: it’s a third party application that allows you to run multiplayer games without steam. (it makes games think they communicate through steam i think).
patch dont work for me, it give patch error and corrupt the game, i really don know what is the problem, i browse to game directory but still give patch error.
here the patch disables the online mode

the patch works perfectly fine guys. no errors for me. make sure to select game directory. check the boxes ‘backup’ and ‘verify hash’ at bottom. it will take about 10-15 min. be patient. don’t force kill the app. I tested opening the game. its good.
I perhaps understand why we can not save our progress, but I’m not sure. Can someone (with saved progress) go to C:\Users\*YOUR– USERNAME\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and tell if their ini file except GameUserSettings.ini and Engine.ini are blank.

The totally false information in the description is totally killing this very good crack, you can both level up and save your progress, as long you play in >PUBLIC< LOBBY and YOU DONT CHANGE NICKNAME, because this crack is using Steam Emulator you progress and level up are saved and stored i nthe emulator, totally false description , a shame that basically everybody are playng in private match so they cant level up.

Solution to questions about SSELauncher and to save game:
DO NOT download from the torrent, it is missing the SSELauncher.
The download from UP07 (watch out the adds can give troyan) has the SSELauncher and you can save game. I have not testet the other downloads.
Torrent download = you can play in public match but you cannot save the game(dont have SSeLuncher)
UP07 ClickNupload = you cannot play the public matchs , but you can play private matchs and save the game (but you dont level up) have the SSEluncher

Like jojo said, dont download from Torrent, use Uptobox or whatever zipped link you find,there is SSELaunchere in game directory, if you use it it will launch Steam Emulator and you can level up and store your data in the Steam Emulator, you bunch of incredible fucktards.
Still, i have problems with the 1.01 patch, i cant patch the game and i want to upgrade to 1.01 patch because it fixes alot of Game Lobby problems, try non torrent links and see if the SSELauncher is located in the game directory.

I tried to connect diretcly with the console and the locale IP (192.168.xxx.xxx) but nothing happens.
Connecting with other people through the steamemu freidnlist ist working!
Or maybe i must have a lokale fake-steam server for this? But i think this would be very difficult? 😀

For everyone having problems with saving, just download the version on UP07.
If you want to play using Steam too, just put a file called “steam_appid.txt” inside the DeadByDaylight/Binaries/Win64 folder and write “381210” inside it. This way you can use SSE to play with friends and other cracked users, but also Steam to play with legit people: just start the game from “DeadByDaylight.exe” (in the same folder you can find “SSELauncher.exe”). Remember that saving works on SSE, but not on Steam.
For working game you need to add non-steam game
Add game – Add game non-steam – and go to library and search game and put.

1- There are alot of people that got it the right way, and they can save, i saw alot of people level 2 and even level 50 (but the higher level must be cheating for sure), sure as hell i am “not the only one” , like you pretend it to be, if you are retard, doesnt mean 99% of people are retarded like you and cant even know how to install and run a cracked game properly, STEAM EMULATOR work perfeclty and it is basically a fake copy of Steam.
2- if you dont find the SSElauncher in your folder, thats your fault, download the proper files from the links provided there, maybe use UPTOBOX, that worked for me.
3- you are dead wrong, actually i see alot of people playng my same cracked version of the game, using Steam Emulator, apparently there are non retarded people that use Steam Emulator, and the retarded ones that use the normal version of Steam, how retarded that is?? are you really using the NORMAL Steam version?? mother of God.

Iam using the SSELauncher, too! I dowmloaded the game from NOT via torrent but from a filehoster (I forgot which one)!
But I played only a few rounds and don’t know what could be saved 😀 Maybe items? On my bought game on steam I found a flashlight, maybe something like that?
The Update from 1.0 to 1.01 is also working, ypu have to wait 1-2 minutes. The first seconds ypu can see the Installation ongoing, after that it looks like nothing happens. But if you wait than it will work!
But another important thing when you want apply the 1.01 update: [!!]
You must update a clean Installation what means an untouched and unstarted original game. Extrac the RAR-File, don’t start the game !! and then installl the 1.01 update!
With the game files which I used before to play with V 1.0 it was not possible to upgrade!

– Don’t download the torrent file !!!!!!!! this is not realy the same game !! (no SSElauncher in torrent file)
– so you can dowload the game for exemple with “Downace” link
– Extract the game
– Patch it with update 1.0 to 1.0.1
– launch SSElauncher.exe
– enter nickname
– Launch
– Enjoy 🙂
Note that you can improve your character only in multiplayer, not in private games
And press SHIFT + TAB to open an emulate of steam with player that have the cracked version

A friend of mine is having an error when trying to launch SSE.. it gives him application not handled properly win32 error and an ignore or continue button.
Usually its cause you miss visual c but even after installing that he keeps having that error..

I managed to run the game, and I can even see online players and lobbies (by pressing shift + tab), but each time I try to join one, the game goes on loading screen and that’s it. The loading animation keeps on going, but it doesn’t connect to the game. Anyone knows how to solve it?

everytime i load it up to play i tried the tutorial and a regular game once it started my screen went black and one time i just had to hard reset it. anybody else have this issue

game was running without patch, but i couldnt find lobbies talked to a guy said i needed to patch.
downloaded patch 1st mirror;
game directory path, then verify/backup, start = error.
corrupted game, deleted, extracted again from .rar file.

When you get stuck at the loading screen, just go back to the lobby browser and hit refresh and try to join another game. Keep doing it until you succeed. Don’t mind the loading screen animation.

STEP BY STEP 100%
Download game from CLICKNUPLOAD (2nd choice)
Download Patch from “download” First choice (very left)
installation:
Extract Dead by daylight v1.0.rar to folder on desktop
Extract Patch to desktop
(DO NOT START THE GAME!!!)
(DO NOT START THE GAME!!!)
start Patch, Browse to your desktop; click on folder with dead by light in it,
then choose Dead by daylight v1.0 folder
Check the box Backup
Check the box Verify integrity hash
Start
WAIT ; it will take 5-15 minutes.
When its done
Close
Go to folder, click SSELAUNCHER to launch game
When game has launched
SHIFT+TAB to open friendslist / lobby
Click Join a lobby.
Notes:
*DO NOT OPEN GAME BEFORE PATCHING.
*CONNECTING TO LOBBIES IS REALLY HARD/ HAVE TO KEEP TRYING.

Just keep on trying. If you get stuck at the loading screen or get directed back to the main/character menu, fire up the lobby browser, hit refresh and join another game.
Also, I had better chance of successfully joining the game by joining a specific version of it. If you look into the lobby browser, there’s a “show data” button on the lower right. Click on it then look at the bottom most information. There’s a version_s info. I believe there’s currently 3 versions of it. I always join lobbies with version dbd_34_217069 and surprisingly, I was able to enter the game. Not really sure if it has something to do with that but I was able to join games with much more success.
Again, if you guys get stuck at the loading screen, you don’t need to force close the game. Just hit up the lobby browser again, click on refresh, and join another game. When you do this, the game will send you back to the main screen (just wait for a few seconds). After that, refresh the lobby browser again and join another.
I find it too much of a hassle force closing and re-launching the game.
If you see the “Unable to start with [x] killer” message, ignore it.
Rinse and repeat.

Hey Guys, I find a way to load the save game but not to save the game, so you can take one of these saves if you want: http://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1131819. What you just need to do is before launch the game go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata and search ProfileSaves. And open it with World (not notpad or some other bullshiet, WORD or openoffice word) then launch the game so he can’t replace your save because it’s open in word. Enjoy =)
ok guys i legit figured out how to play it with others and im sure some of you have already said it on here but i would like to reiterate. don’t patch this to 1.0.1. leave it as it is and open up ur steam and u could play through there. shift+tab works and errythang. u just cant’ save. but that’s fine bc this is a pirated game and we should all buy it later but for now let’s play the free version 😀
