       Okay. let’s imagine a world game devs know exactly what they’re doing from the start. That every single game Dev knew exactly what they were doing and how to do it without any previous influence. The main thing there is influence.

       if it was not for the Devs I the past we would not have the games that we have now. We just would not. That is impossible.

       What you’re doing is criticising the latest Devs. You know, the ones that would never be influenced by the Devs that came before them.

       Sure, their first game/games will have a certain influence. These are after all the games that they grew up with.

       So, on that, do you feel that it’s best to stifle the creative streak in people that will take influence from the games that they grew up with and loved? Or, do you feel that anyone wanting to follow their dreams and starting from scratch, even of that does mean making a game that is pretty much a copy of one of their favourite games should just fucking stop?

       personally, I’m all up for seeing new Devs trying their hand at something, rather than just giving up because some people don’t know the difference between a copy compared to a nod towards the games that they grew up with.

       Give the indie Devs a chance because we will never know if that team will become the next gen game devs.

       We just don’t know that

       Investors are the ones who pay these triple A companies the big bucks, which is why the gaming industry is so unbelievably toxic nowadays. why everything has multiplayer microtransactions and shit. because if they don’t, they get sued for money they don’t have. and investors don’t even wink at indie developers. i agree that bitchin n moanin about a game’s perceived quality on a piracy website is stupid, but it’s equally stupid to bitch and moan about the plight of indie devs here as well.

       there’s just a lot wrong with what you said, not gunna get into everything.
