My game refuses to run (Windows 11 pro) Fisrt it says steam_api64.dll wasn’t located, then I downloaded it and added it to the files, now its giving me an error 0x0000142. Whats should I do?
Try running it on windows 10. It won’t run on windows 11 as the drivers requirements are different and not yet generalised.

It asked for xinput1_3.dll and steam_api64.dll, I downloaded and placed those files. Now I get an error saying “The procedure entry point SteamApps could not be located in the dynamic link library”. Tried to add the game to steam and run but still not running. Please help me with any solution…

I know this was like, several months ago, but it’s almost certain that your computer is removing the appropriate files. Windows’s built-in firewall and virus protection automatically detects and “quarantines” the proper files. Downloading those files fresh from the internet, for whatever reason, doesn’t work. You need to go into the “threat protection” and find the recent quarantined objects and select “restore” on any of them that are from this game. That should solve the issue.
