   If you cannot make a synopsis of your game make sense, your game is going to suck. Reading that, it says a sword that can be used during an investigation of cultural relics…crime. So what good is the word if it can only be used during that one investigation? What happens, does it vanish after the one investigation?

   I know what they meant. But the thing is though, they didn’t care enough to translate it properly, so they probably didn’t care enough about the rest of the game either.

    Yet what impressed people the most was that Bright Memory is said to be the work of just one person. The man behind that project is Zeng Xiancheng, the founder of FYQD Studio and its only full-time developer.

    One guy and one guy alone made this entire game. So cut the guy some fucking slack. He probably did about a millions times better of a job that you could ever do, and many times better than a hell of a lot of full developer studios with dozens of people, could do.

    @daniel nah the lack of sensible translation only goes to show that they probably didn’t care enough for their western audience, which is (unless you only look at AAA game studios) not all that uncommon at least among the Asian games and their devs.

    I played this demo and I have to say… this game has a good deal of promise, however the plot is kinda nonexistent. One guy made this game from what I saw but he could use another one to help him write a story that makes sense. I feel like this game is the sequel to another which never saw the light of day and the dev expects us to somehow know what happened in it. Still, it’s in development, who knows what’ll come out next.

    tl;dr : Gameplay = awesome, Story = bad, here’s hoping.

    The game rather good, but 3 years and still in part 1.
    I’m expecting my grandchild to pick this game after me to finish the later parts.

    You all have to remember that this game was made by literally one person. I’m surprised none of you have heard of it, a lot of people covered it and it was involved with some controversy over some of the assets used.
