   The game don’t work on my computer. The launcher say : Unable to start the program because OpenAL32.dll is missing on your computer. Try reinstalling the program to correct the problem.

   People with openAL32.dll error follow these steps

   Open Installation folder location

   open _CommonRedist folder

   open OpenAL Folder

   open 2.0.7.0 Folder

   run program oalinst.exe and press install (was instant for me)

   game will then run

    really wanna download it but i got a notice from my ISP a couple days ago that they’ve noticed copyright infringement in my house(a.k.a. they know i’m pirating) and its the first time it’s ever happened in the 6 years i’ve been doing this. any advice? i have no money for a decent vpn or anything

      Dave was just playing into the French surrender tropes. The irony is that France went downhill BECAUSE they helped America.

      It was King Louis XVI who gave the Americans huge loans which then bankrupted France when America refused to repay France, and that combination of financial hardship and giving inspiration to France’s own radical republican revolutionaries (by aiding the Americans) that led to King Louis’ own beheading. Basically King Louis got himself beheaded.

      Even the great Marquis de Lafayette, George Washington’s closest aide and friend, was almost himself beheaded by French Republicans. The Americans sent strong protest letters to France to demand that the French radicals release him.

      Why was the greatest French champion of the American Revolution almost beheaded? Well, here’s the irony: Marquis de Lafayette was a LOYALIST, just to the French crown, not the British. LaFayette wasn’t an absolutist, he favored a constitutional monarchy like Britain’s at the time, but to the French Republican revolutionaries that was akin to being a monarchist and thus deserving of death. LaFayette was only spared because America basically was so outraged to the point of contemplating war with France if they beheaded LaFayette (and remember the French would need America’s assistance against the British, and America did aid Napoleon grealty later on by forcing Britain to fight on two fronts in the War of 1812 against America and against that Napoleon dictator of France simultaneously).

      And France basically went downhill from there, endless chaos after removing the monarchy, the Reign of Terror and Republics that eventually required dictators (Napoleon) brought internal stability at the cost of constant external wars (a model Napoleon III tried to emulate but failed because Bismarck didn’t agree to Napoleon III’s offer to let him annex Belgium (ironic since that was the reason Britain attacked Germany in WW1 and could’ve had France and Britain go at it instead), and then there was the Paris Commune and all sorts of madness.

      France almost had it’s revenge on America though, as Napoleon III desperately tried to convince Britain to join France in allying with the Confederacy (and which almost happened during the Trent Affair, if not for a deathbed intervention by the german widower husband of Victoria, prince Albert).

      Anyways, point is, France lost it’s way mostly because it lost it’s identity. Capet France is gone, irrevocably so, because King Louis saved the American Revolution and in doing so caused the French Revolution which beheaded him.

      Quite a divine comedy. Or else divine punishment perhaps for being a monarch backing republican revolutionaries. Much like how Tsar Nicholas was killed because he treacherously sided with French republicans over his cousin Wilhelm. It seems there is divine irony in history especially for those monarchs who foolishly aided republics, which in turn have corrupted our entire planet with their decadence.

      If France had simply NOT helped the American Revolution, King Louis would not have lost his head, and the cause of Republicanism would not have lifted off. And contrary to most Americans’ ideas, most Americans would probably be better off today, America picked the worst time to break off, as the steam engine, telegrams, and trains would be invented shortly later (which would have made American elected delegations to parliament more possible) and America missed out on Britain’s golden age of expansion under Queen Victoria. Can one imagine how powerful and rich America and Britain both would have been if united?

      So all around, everyone involved lost because of the Revolution. There were no real winners, long term, only losers.
