    well i tried it and its really shit.

    could be a good game in like 1 year or something

    but its like xcom in the ealy days … unless you’re invested in the lore cant recommend it.

    There’s still content missing. Technoblabble lore is very poorly written compared to the original. It gained 3D-ness, with 360 degree map rotation, but lost the art style spirit. Art style for weapons is worse, and advanced versions look all the same, making it difficult which weapon is which class at a glance. Art style for enemies is disappointing, both the 3D and the autopsy fluff – especially Reapers, they used to look terrifying, now the look incredibly bad, almost “low budget,” for lack of better words. UI choices are questionable, with the mission debriefing screen is very unsatisfying, where for some arbitrary reason it doesn’t even tell you info how many kills which soldier did, as it used to, there is no date or calendar, only day counter, there’s no total death count of population lost to aliens, and funding is hidden under a button that could have been on screen info, as it used to be.

    There’s just so many arbitrary choices that make this game worse than the original, it’s staggering.

    If I bought it the legit way I’d ask for a refund and wait for the game to get more mature. But some of the flaws aren’t immediately apparent, and the refund window would probably time out before I’d notice it.

    TL:DR – Don’t get too excited.

    I played just now, but the game has not changed at all when it comes to a stable version without bug/crash, you play the game normally, but at least here the game when the month ends when the monthly reports appear, the game gives a crash exits by itself and returns to the desktop, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION, it still has bugs

    Wow, Xenonauts 2 and Jagged Alliance 3 drops the same week ? I played JA3 already and it is awesome, I see that X2 did not really do much to modernize the game, it just looks like the remaster from few years ago. Shame
