its not a ripoff. if you’ve played the first game, or even this game, it is very different from xcom. its its own game in its own right. and its quite a good alien/survival type game. not as polished as xcom, but its great.
Pls don’t confuse XCOM and X-COM. X-COM games were made by Microprose decades ago, the XCOM games from Firaxis in the previous decade are the ripoff games.
So technically, it’s more like a remake of the original, with the AP consumption instead of “your units get 2 actions per turn”.
