I think game unstable
the game isn’t working, tested on 3 computers, 2 destiop and one laptop, tried many options and even to edit the boot as sai d on top, not working at all…

No. You fix doesn’t work.
It’s not GPU intense, the graphics are shit and outdate to begin with.
Game won’t load for me, stuck in loading screen forever.
970 with 4GB Vram and 16Gb Ram, latest W10 builds, everything is up to date.
But it’s a UNITY game, what do you expect?
A shitty obsolete engine that was discontinued since the very existence of Unreal engine, about 2014.
I’ve no idea why are there some fucking dev still using an outdated shitty buggy trash engine like this.
To this day I’ve never ever ran one single shitty UNITY game without a problem, NEVER.

Both the steam and GOG version have the same problem at the time of loading the way someone release a fix or the devs bring a patch
Crash 5 seconds before the i open it everytime.
You can use a hex editor you can find the resolution settings in the registry, but that save file will keep overwriting them. The save file is located here. C:\Users\*yourusername*\AppData\LocalLow\MegaPixel Studio S_A_\The House of the Dead Remake if you cant find search in your pc the file name saveData.sav connected to house of the dead.
First open your hex editor (I use HxD) and open or drag and drop the save file into the editor’s window. Make sure the data inspector (The column of data on the far right) is open. If not, pick “View” from the menu up top and click on “Data inspector”. Next click on “Search” up top and then “Find”. When the find window comes up, click on the “Text-string” tab, then type “Width” in the search bar then click “OK”
This brings us to the general area of the hex code we need to be. You’ll notice it says, “Screen Resolution Width Height”. Next you’re going to highlight those 4 groups of bytes/characters that are (€…)before the 8 by left clicking and dragging the cursor over them Now look to the section where it says “int32”, the number to the right of that is the screen resolution’s width. I recommend setting it to 1280 for the moment, but you can experiment with what you like. Press enter after you input the new value.
The hex code you’ve highlighted should now have turned to red. Now you are going to highlight the next 4 groups of hex code (8…)immediately to the right of the last group that just turned red. Go back over to “Int32” and replace the value to the right of that. This is the screen height. I recommend 720, but again, whatever you wish. Then hit enter.
Now you should have the following hex code turned red. And if you used 1280×720 as I have. It will also be the same hex code. Now just click the save icon up top and close the hex editor and start your game.
This method work for me hope this helps

Guys if the game is freezing on the startup or loading screen, try these fix:
> on the shortcut created in desktop or create one from the game exe, right-click then open “properties”;
> you’ll see the location/destiny linking the shortcut, after all of that give a space and then type: -autoconfig. Save and close and try to launch;
> if this not work, change the -autoconfig for -w 1280;
