    The installer is on a weird language , and everytime i try to instal it crashes , and i cant even see what i am choosing to instal because no English language what so ever .Can anyone fix this plz ?

    It works. Can’t read the language in the installer but i just uncheck all the boxes I saw. Maybe they’re just for icon shortcuts, i dunno…

    Anyways, Thanks for the game.

    The game works, just watched the intro and moved a little.
    The “trickyness” was with the installer’s text being “corrupted”: just press “next” (the arrow to the right) until you have 2 boxes ticked (as JA M says it’s probably for icon shortcuts) then again press next. A white button appears, don’t press it, it’s the cancel button. Just wait and you’ll see the installer load (It was really fast for me). When that is done, you’ll be prompted to install DirectX and the language issue will disappear!

    For you guys asking about multiplayer, use hamachi and host a server in lan. Haven´t tried it myself but should work! And the game workes fine for me, installer was weird but nothing too hard.

    Use Hamachi for multiplayer and just start a Lan server and then your friends join your Hamachi server to be able to find it.
    Game works fine otherwise, installer wasn´t the best but got the job done.

    I bought the game on steam and the game is crazy insanely hard.. There’s a permadeath in the game I died on day one while I was trying to build a shelter for myself. I got attacked by these creatures that sounded like there from the wrong turn movies.. creepy AF.. I ask for a refund cause it was really buggy with the game controller too.

    I am no expert but i downloaded multiple version and read a lot of forun coments and they kept saying to use a The Forest steam fix v7 / v8
    so I googled this and a few fake sites later I founf this
    The.Forest.Steamworks..Fix.V8.X64-REVOLT
    all i did was just paste all the files from the folder into the main game directory it overwrote the Steam64.dll file replaced this ran the 64bit version of the game and
    goto multiplayer, create your own game, you can even steam invite or just start the mmultiplayer game and anyone can see the server and join.
    worked for me I set the game to only allow 3 poeple my family, never checked the private function so not sure if that only allows steam invite players , will try that next

    just wanted to share this …. I found this version was taking too long to download so I whent straight to Sidrow codex games site directly and downloaded it there only took 20 mins to download.
