Finally this game out in GOG (DRM FREE)!

  3. Jasinn (19 Aug 2018, 3:14)

Did they copy this off Phantom Doctrine or what?

  4. Jasinn (19 Aug 2018, 3:19)

Never mind my old comment, didn’t still see the gameplay, thought it was a turn based like XCOM 1/2

  5. Boris_CRO (19 Aug 2018, 7:19)

No point in this game to be pirated. Was free more than a few times on steam.

  6. Brian1979 (19 Aug 2018, 9:31)

would like to have female teamate :/

peoples say : ” but at this period they wree no female in army and blablabla…”

but pffff…. they were no aliens either.

female teamate would have add more viriation like in others Xcom.

good game, but difficulty sometime jump from easy to almost impossible .

  9. Honimoura (19 Aug 2018, 10:44)

Yes !!! a 2013’s game … Can we have GTA1, Lemings, Alexkid ? … at least there will be no arrangement forcing you to wait for pay contrary to the titles that your community acually wants 😉

  10. lolbrasil (19 Aug 2018, 13:44)

If you like female characters go play barbie dude. You are right, theres no aliens at this period but many wars were fight by men mostly. women fighting were minority, almost nonexistent.

  11. pots (19 Aug 2018, 13:49)

game costs 50 cents on g2a 🙂 just saying

  12. Ai (19 Aug 2018, 14:45)

Um… You know this game is like 5 years old so if anything Phantom Doctrine could copy it, but as you yourself said, no, gameplay is somethign entirely different, just setting is similar to XCom

  13. snarf (19 Aug 2018, 18:04)

In ww2 many woman fought in covert operations. this game is about a small covert group so your nasty Incel Barbie comment shows your a moron. Not being afraid of females doesnt mean you should play barbies…loser

  14. jorge (19 Aug 2018, 18:45)

Nice game ; hi guys i have comment in post king of fighter can you read me comment and say what do you think about? thank youuuuuuu.KOFXIV

I actually really enjoyed this game. Yes it’s gameplay is similar to Mass Effect 3 but the story and graphics and scenario are pretty cool, even if it doesn’t technically fit into the XCOM lore.

  16. Kruger (19 Aug 2018, 20:55)

io have original version on Steam 😛

Game keeps crashing. Fixed the first one in the room with the plane in the ceiling by turning off Physx particles. I know how to fix that with Physx turned on, but this version of the game seem to be using a version of physxcore.dll that is MORE RECENT than the newest publically available one available on Nvidia’s website. The physx particles option is turned off by default, probably that’s why.

Anyway, now the game crashed as soon as I stepped out of the lift going up to the first mission after you get into your base and select your very first squad. Physx turned off, still CTD. Fuck knows what the problem is this time, but I really can’t be bothered trying to fix it.

It’s a shame because this game is great and I never played it before. I thought about just buying it, and maybe it would fix the problem, but what if it doesn’t?

If anyone knows what the hell the problem is, feel free to say so, and I’ll come back here and check later tonight. Thanks.

How to turn a classic turn based tactic game into a generic cover based shooting game

  19. Mac (20 Aug 2018, 14:54)

i dont give a care about the period.. its a game.. we dont have aliens nor the technologie used here.
the game is already unrealistic enougth.

all xcom game have female teammates, only this one doesnt have.

it wouldnt hurt to have put some of them. as we cant customize teammates like in others xcom. it would have add more variation to have female teamates too.

and you comment logic have no sens… why should i go play barbie if i want to see some female in a war game kick aliens ass ? you make non sens.
someone who should play barbie is someone who complain of presence of female in war game. not reverse.

the graphics looks pretty good, hows the system requirements only says c2d 2.4ghz and an geforce 8800GT? it does not look so much different compare to assassin creed unity, GTA or any other openworld high sys reqs games..but why those games run at only 3-5fps with core2duo CPU?..

the reason is because they/the dev purposely render all useless objects/materials such as the sky, clouds, dust, unseen objects behind player, mountain/fox at 1000mile far!.or even stuff inside the building.. when your not even in the building!.. those all useless unseen-able object rendering will eats up cpu/gpu and memory resource..they can just make the game simply render object around the player.. that should be able to ease a lot of cpu/gpu work and wont be needing expensive multi octa focta cores cpu to run the games..but they wont..

it is clearly a cunning marketing trick to force people have to keep upgrading their hardware!

Some FIx for Random Crashes, just pick one (first one that fixed it for me):
“The solution is to copy this file here:
    c:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Engine\6FE164B5308A\PhysXCore.dll

    to the Game’s binaries folder.
    Steam\SteamApps\common\The Bureau\Binaries\Win32\”
You can fix this by just drop PhysXCore.dll file from C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Engine\82D8704BAB07 (this folder with numbers can be different for you)
and copy this PhysXCore.dll file and paste in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\The Bureau\Binaries\Win32 (default path)

Does this includes all the DLCs?
