Does anyone know how to get AB+ to read/convert/use your Afterbirth save? I don’t wanna start all over. I’ve tried basically everything I could think of and it just refuses.

@Bob same, I have tried everything possible, but can’t seem to have the game read the AB save file. When manually pasting it in AB+ it says corrupt save file. Would love it if you shared a solution if you find one

Guys I found a soution for the save files.
You just need to copy the file ab_persistengamedata1 (or the save file you are using) from 3DMGAME\3DMGAME\storage
and paste it in
OfflineStorage\User\remote
(you need to delete any abp file in there)
That’s it. No progress lost

How nice when the fucking links not opening on the website.
I see some people saying they can’t import their save game from AB, and other people saying they’re not compatible, but that’s bs, i just imported my AB save, and this is what i’ve done:
1.-go to Documents/My Games/Isaac Afterbirth and copy all of the .dat files to Documents/My Games/Isaac Afterbirth+
2.- go to the installation folder of isaac afterbirth, then go to 3DMGAME\IGGGAMES\remote (or something similar, just find your “remote” folder) and copy the .dat file in there, then go to your installation folder for AB+ and go to \OfflineStorage\User\remote and paste your .dat file in there.
That worked for me and i hope it works for you too.

for those guy like me save non recognise, and when you copy your save and you change the steamcloud to 0 the game said “corrupted files” :
first DO A BACKUP OF THE AFTERBIRTH SAVE !!!
– copy the game ( i downloaded the torrent one here )
– lunch it one time, quit the game
– go to “C:\Users\XXXXX\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth”
– sort files by date modified, copy first “isaacv1.–some numbers–.dmp” and the txt one
( in my case a copyed 3 pair of file )
– go to “C:\Users\XXXXX\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+”
– copy file. ( isaacv1 and shit)
– modify option.ini , put steamcloud to 0.
you may lost one or 3 post it mark but the game lunch with your save.

before try Kenny’s, go to “Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+”
and delete all the files you have.
go to installation folder of ‘Binding of Isaac afterbirth’ (not documents\My Games\…)
then find ‘.dat’ files. Perhaps they are in ‘3DMGAME\3DMGAME\storage’, and their name will be
‘ab_persistentgamedata1’ (the number at the end varies from 1 to 3). Copy them.
go to installation folder of ‘Binding of Isaac afterbirth+'(not documents\My Games\… this time either).
go to ‘OfflineStorage\User\remote’ and paste ‘.dat’ files.

Guys, about the save file from Afterbirth to Afterbirth plus.
I had some trouble porting it because i had modified the “options.ini” file before and set SteamCloud=0.
If you want it to work, set it to 1 like it should be by default, then
1)Go to the afterbirth installation folder, then for me it was 3DMGAME/IGGGAMES/remote
2)Copy all of these .dat files
3)Go to the afterbirth plus installation folder, the find the “remote” folder
4)Paste the files
It really is this simple, I just had the problem whit the SteamCloud option

HELLO!!!! I tried to run it on 7 and I did many things but didnt run.I installed win 10 and installed my graphics drivers and DirectX10 and 11 then installed microsoft vcredit 2015 from _CommonRedist
folder in binding isaac afterbirth + folder…then i was able to run game with no problem
ABOUT SAVES:from afterbirth to afterbirth+
go to afterbirth folder
then search in folders and find a Folder includes these 3 folders:local,remote,stats
save games are in remote folder they are ab_gamestate1.dat and ab_persistentgamedata1 or like this…copy them and go to afterbith + folder Offline storage/user/remote
then paste saves there….worked for me and I am playing well…only thing didnt work for me was filtering in option in game….and play Super Meat Boy..it is great too….both shares same producers i think
