Anyway, If you’re gonna play it for free, at the very least do show some love and Wishlist our game on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/697130/The_9th_Gate/) if you enjoyed it. Every bit of support helps.
For the haters, sorry guys! We’re learning. We’ll make better stuff in time if we’re still around and kicking.
In any case, hope you’d at least give it a try and leave us some feedback on our website for what you might want to see in a horror game next time (www.gospacepups.com)
Happy halloween gaming!
Psst… there’s a 15% discount going on so you’re only paying about $5 or less if you really want to support us. (C’mon that’s maybe just a burger meal)
I’ve seen that “Holy heck that was fast” tagline a few times too many, now. I personally still appreciate the gesture from the developer to be good sports though, by coming on the page here and showing a sense of humour.
I’m not sure your game costs only a burger meal to everyone, though. Even in the 2nd world, a video game can cost a single digit fraction of the average person’s monthly income.
Until the industry can figure out the problem of $10, $40, $60US being worth a whole hell of a lot more in most parts of the world than it is where most games originate from, piracy will still exist.
I personally favour a system of how much does a video game cost in terms of percentage of average monthly income to americans or Japanese or the UK or Germany? Why can’t that same percentage apply to the scaled down monthly incomes of people from Eastern Europe, North Africa or South America too?
That’s on the developers, to show a little give and take.
