   How to change from Russian>?

   A: Edit “Stronghold 1 Definitive Edition _Data\Plugins\x86_64\steam_emu.ini”

     For some reason, it’s already set to English but the game is still in Russian.

   Even thought I extracted the English language, it’s still in Russian. The game goes black after you put your name in, something not right with it.

   In case it may be of help (extracted from steam):

   We’re aware of an issue affecting some users where they get a black screen after entering their Player Name
   – For NVIDIA GPU users, check your NVIDIA Control Panel and see if you have Vertical Sync set to “Fast” in the Nvidia Control Panel? Setting Vertical Sync to Off has resolved the issue for some users.
   – For Windows N version users, a possible workaround is here: https://firefly-studios.helpshift.com/hc/en/15-stronghold-definitive-edition/faq/559-black-sreen-and-using-window-10-11-n/
   – For other users, we are still working on a solution

   The language cannot be changed from russian in any way.

   those who have problem with english language not available on game just download the game from
   IG games…..go through the link to the site under comment section they pinned links for english language only links and its works without crash and blackscreen so have fun.

    For change the language , unpack your preferred language

    1) Open the file (you will see numbers)
    2)Open the numbers file again
    3) reach the two files with the NAME ASSETS AND STRONGHOLD 1…
    4)COPY THIS TWO FILES AND PASTE IN THE GAME FOLDER
    5)DONE

    This version is sh*t
    The files contained in the English language pack are in russian, therefore there’s no english at all.
    Don’t waste your time, just wait for the next update and skip this cr*p 😉

    I change the language from russian! How I done it and it work for me!
    1. Go to Folder \Languages and unpack Your language
    2. Copy and Replace files from the unpack language with the one in main game.

    That all what I done and it changed to my language.

    i got solution for black screen or im stupid or im lucky
    i download stronghold DE from other link yesterday and id work but next day i see black screen
    you must click ESC when you see first logo firefly studios when game launch
    it must be something wrong with this video when game launch
    work for AMD
