you need the stellaris 1.0 download or having original steam version.

I got it working, i changed the compability to windows 95, but now when i start a game it just loads forever, anyone knows the problem?

You shouldn’t have to change compatibility at all. It is already fully win10 compatible. Why would you set it to Win 95?? XP/7 or Previous OS works for everything else. This game wasn’t made in 1998…

For those having the 0xc0000142 problem, don’t use the crack from this patch! Use the crack from the original CODEX patch. It worked for me.
