LOL! what the hell’s wrong with you guys? like come on, i never said it was an exact copy, i said “LOOKS LIKE”, which is, by the way by my own perspective, and yeah technically No Man’s Sky was my first space exploration game and yeah sorry for triggering your “smartfull-gamer-brains”, which i don’t care really cause i just enjoy playing and trying to discover new games that quite somehow gives me a feel of No Man’s Sky. I’m no pro gamer nor have the luxury of time to play tons of games like you guys. i just got my first gaming rig and maybe you could suggest some more games that is really fun to play. (I guess bad mouthing other people was the result of a full time gaming, GET A LIFE GUYS!) 😀

No Man’s Sky wasn’t the first space exploration game. There were a lot that came before it. One I remember playing as a kid was Freelancer. That was out far before No Man’s Sky. I also remember one that was far ahead of its time, and was one of the first games that had planets, the ability to go fight on the ground as a soldier, in vehicles and in space, in spaceships. It wasn’t very good though, but was also way ahead of any other game like No Man’s Sky. That game was Universal Combat. There’s quite a lot of other games similar, but that were out before NMS too, as mentioned by others.
As for those who said that the No Man’s Sky devs made a bunch of promises, released their game which didn’t have a huge amount of the things that the devs said would be in or a part of the game/game mechanics/engine when the game was released, and then still have not kept the promises made before or after release- that’s not entirely true either.
It didn’t get released with a large portion of the features, content and other stuff that the devs claimed would be in when it got released. That is true, I know. I was one of the many people who were extremely excited, hopeful and then, ultimately, let down after backing the game while it was in development. I even decided to take up the refund that was offered after, and gave back my copy for the money back.
However, they have since then done an INCREDIBLE job, keeping promises made, releasing free updates to implement the things that were not in the released version of the game, but were promised. They have even gone above what was promised, and have done an amazing job of listening to their games players. They have since released even more FREE content to those that bought the game, and have done a great job listening to what the community wanted or disliked, and working on what was requested. Just go check out their reviews on Steam or any other game critic site, and it’s hard to find a negative review of No Man’s Sky’s current release.
Only thing people should be getting on Eorzah for is being one of those FIRST faggots lol I cant even defend him knowing he was one of those tools lol
Star point gemini 2 was boring or at least the last time i started it it was only capitalship 3rd person fighting., this might be at least considerable. So is this with real dogfighting and flightphysics?
@Datklo I also had the xinput1_4.dll file error. I downloaded it and put it into the system32 folder then it asked for another .dll file. I downloaded it too and then it just gave me a general error. On the steam page it says that Windows 7 is not officially supported (it’s the OS I’m using) so idk… try it yourself, maybe you have better luck than me.

Do you have a gamepad ? I’m asking because Xinput1_4.dll is a file used by Direct X to make controllers work.
Try to do some tests : unplug it, start the game, if the popup still shows up, deactivate the gamepad in the game and try to launch it again…
if not try to install DIRECT X

As others have said, the game doesn’t run on Windows 7 (64bit) which I’m currently using. Error: XINPUT1_4.dll missing.
