This is a multiplayer game only, so yes. This release will allow you to play online. But I would make a second xbox account and use that incase they start banning people using this

Honestly, I was hoping it worked with out multiplayer. I just wanna play with friends. I hate playing with strangers.
Aww, i thought maybe this ws creating a virtual server, and tricking the game into thinking its connected or something, i would have bought the game, but i dont want to play with others, so solo offline/private server would have been nice.

broken, doesn’t start, and it isn’t a crack to begin with so these problems can be expected to happen regularly anyways.
GUYS FIX IS NOT WORK ANYMORE THEY PATCH IT.
The exploit on their end was patched just over 24 hours ago, this no longer works and will not connect to the official servers anymore.
Don’t waste your time downloading it just get the xbox pass for $1, or get a friend to buy it for you if its overpriced in your country.

Bought this game on the MS store months ago. Tbh its just not worth it, even if you team up with people. Their private servers can’t come soon enough. There is no end goal, being a “pirate lord” is 100% cosmetic like everything else. So why is it strictly pvp? Doing the somewhat “pve” elements like the Tales is a chore if someone is camping the island you need to go to. If you die you have to start all over again from the beginning, plus the killers can just spawn camp on your boat to constantly kill you when you respawn. And your killers can take what little you had yet really gain nothing unless they are on the Tale too which is doubtful. So again, why is it strictly pvp? Doesn’t make sense because there is no need for competition since gold is only for consumables (ammo) and cosmetics. So just don’t waste your time or money.
