   I believe there is a virus in it. Whenever I try to install it, it creates different folder name in Temp folder and my antivirus sees it as a virus. If it would be something to do with the game, the folder name wouldnt be different each time I install it

     For those who are stuck at shaders – go into temporary files in your Windows and delete shader DirectX . You have to repeat it from time to time since 1.1 update

   James you did it wrong i gess i dl it from the DLFREE i go and change the auto instal dir. to where i got my game and like the precious 2 its works . Thanks, Use side for over 15 years .

     Whatever I have to redownload the whole game again. The last patch corrupted my game files as it said it did not have permission to rewrite ingame files. Even I checked the files it said it could not rewrite and they had the box unticked so no protection against rewriting… fml

      when you can change instal dir. change it to where you have your game. cuss updates always defult to C:/games/ Stalker 2 in this case. so for me i change it to C:profil me download folder and pick game folder.

    I know I’m about to say something obvious .. but I have an impression that someone does not apply the basic rules here when updating their games. To prevent some defective updates from ruining the game but above all the bailouts, before applying the patch, copy the entire game and the save folder at another point of your HDD. In this way if something went wrong at least you can return to a functioning situation.

    You can find the folder with the saves here:
    C: \ User \%Username%\ AppataData \ Local \ Stalker2

    Just a little patience, 150 GB are many, see a video on YT while the system copys them.

      True am just spoild dl speed for me is 30-40mb sec so it takes 30 min or so but still enojing

    All updates don´t work with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2.Heart.of.Chornobyl.v1.1-P2P (named “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.Heart.of.Chornobyl.Ultimate.Editon-InsaneRamZes”).
    Not S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2.Heart.of.Chornobyl.Update.v1.0.1-RUNE, not S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2.Heart.of.Chornobyl.Update.v1.1.2-P2P and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2.Heart.of.Chornobyl.Update.v1.1.3-P2P. The updates install normally, but the game will crash with Unreal Engine crash immediately when trying to launch it after one of these updates is installed.
    Any chance for a fully updated new game version to download please instead of only these patches that seem to be not functional?

    This causes me a Crash to Desktop despite previous P2P 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 working fine with mods before.

    If you start experiencing problems with compiling shaders, like if you cleared your shaders and then the game no longer compiles them and freezes on that stage, you can delete the file ‘upipelinecache’ in c/users/yourname/appdata/local/stalker2/saved. Delete that file, clear shaders again, and this time the shader compile from scratch should work fine, no freezing.
    This update deff works on the P2P version of the game, you just have to make sure that you manually target the folder your game is installed in.

      just don’t delete the whole ‘saved’ folder, else you will lose your whole game saves. Just the file inside that folder. Just being clear as there are some noobs on site lol

    This update works fine for me only problem after it corrupted my game file first i dl it again the 1.1.2 full game then thi update and it works fine, Only issue now is fsr.3.1 crash game so dont use fsr eler fram gen.. i lost the options to use fram gen 2 update ago for the fsr3.1 but ye works fine dont use fram gen or fsr3.1 atn
