5- Close: Powershell ISE.
Q: Why manual activation?
B’cause C[the drive where you install varies] does not work automatically in the game for some systems and give them errors or bugs.

User Account Control (UAC) must be disabled.
1. Remove from the root folder with the game files and AppxSignature.p7x TestLicense.xml
2. Click the shortcut Win + R and type gpedit.msc
3. In the left column of the window that opens, select the “Computer Configuration» → «Administrative Templates» → «the Windows Components» → «Application Package Deployment.”
4. In the right column, with the first four parameters, do the following: Right click the “mouse” on the parameter → «Change/Edit» → Mark “Included» → «OK».
5. Open the file with Notepad (in the game folder) AppxManifest.xml line and remove the line with information about the license eleventh row

Close the file, agreeing with the changes.
6. Click “Start” and select “Settings» → «updates and security» → «For Developers” and make sure that the option “Developer mode” is selected.
7. Start WindowsPowerShell ISE on behalf of the Administrator.
8. Sequentially enter commands. After you type each command, press the Enter key: “Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted”
After entering this command, you need to click “Yes to all – A»
“cd C:\Path\Microsoft.QuantumBreak_1.5.0.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe”
(Example: cd C: Microsoft.QuantumBreak_1.7.0.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe)
Add-AppxPackage -Register AppxManifest.xml
9. Start the application “the Xbox” (from the “Start” menu) and enter the alternate account. (Or write the name of the game through the Search in Windows magnifying glass icon to the right of the Start button)
Turn off antivirus programs (as well as Windows Defender) and do not load the PC during installation. And carefully read the instructions for launching

what do u do if ur copy of windows 10 doesn’t have gepdit
This is toomuch crap to do to just install a game and it does not make sence the way you typed it.. iv just uninstalled the game.. not worth doing all this crap.. my windows 10 accounts didnt even log in proper before this and ur asking me to make new accounts blah balh,,forget that waste of time
can i install this to any drive? not just c:/.. it gives me the option but i herd windows store stuff can only be installed to c: drive

the game worked nice,, but after i rebooted my pc i cant run the game anymore, it says that quantum break cant be run on the built in administrator account
and fedeco yeah i deleted the game before because i had the older version so i downloaded this version and done all the steps here even though it dosent correctly state how to do it but yeah
heres how to correctly install the game
Go to the game folder (Microsoft.QuantumBreak1.5.0.0_x64_8wekyb3d8bbwe) and delete: AppxSignature.p7x and TestLicense.xml
Click your Start menu button and type “gpedit.msc”
Under “Computer Configuration” navigate to: Administrative Templates, Windows Components, then click “App Package Deployment”
Enable the 4 top settings, starting with “Allow deployment operations in specific profiles”
Open “AppxManifest.xml” in a text editor and delete the line with Phone License (it’s the line 11th)
Click your start menu again and type “Settings”
Click “Update & Security” (last item on bottom row to the right)
Select “For developers” and make sure the Developer mode radio button is selected
Open Powershell with Administrator permissions (UAC)
Run: “Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted” and type “A”, then hit Enter
Run: “cd C:\Path\to\Microsoft.QuantumBreak1.5.0.0_x648wekyb3d8bbwe” Example: “cd C:\Users\Roger\Downloads\Microsoft.QuantumBreak_1.5.0.0_x64_8wekyb3d8bbwe”
Run: “Add-AppxPackage -Register AppxManifest.xml”
Windows Search Quantum Break and open it. When it asks for an Xbox account, login with a Microsoft Account. Note: create a fake MS account and let Quantum Break access your live account.
Ok i fixed it, its now working again..
how did i fix it? well basically im a windows insider,,, so all i did was install a new windows build ( new versions of windows 10 come out every week if u are a windows insider) and thats it, done,, game works now ,,,
ALSO a few things to note
when going into powershell,, when u have to input your games directory in the bit above,, go to where your game is located on your pc, then right click on the address bar and click “copy address as text”
and wen u paste ( ctrl + v) it into powershell make sure u put the location inbetween quotation marks –> “” <– thoes.. or it wont work
Secondly in this version of the game when i had to do the "remove the lisence part" crap.. i didnt actually have to because there was no lisence crap..in the document,,somehow,,maby it will be the same for you guys
THIRDLY and this is important when u get to the part where u have to type this into powershell
Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
DONT,, this script will open your pc to unrestricted access from any type of script to run on your pc from any pc anywhere
do this command insted
Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned
that command will just let scripts and crap from your pc to run but be warned..if it dont work then do the normal way,, and then do the remotesigned way after u have done everything
iv herd you dont actually even need to do this part,, but i havent verified this because i have alredy done all this so maby try the game without doing that and type below and let us know how it runs

and i can run this game at about 60fps with everything maxed out,,although some places get abit weird so i turned volumetric lighting down to medium and i can max out everything at 1080p 60fps easy
and yes i have upscaling turned off
if u have upscaling turned on and u have your screen set to 1080p,, the game will render at 720p and upscale the image to 1080p so turn off upscaling and u will have a crystal clear 1080p image
yeah,, a fury x can max this game out EASSSY and im doing this on a crappy cpu too

Now i’m not sure why the long how to get the game running information but this is all i did….Delete the (AppxSignature.p7x and TestLicense.xml) files within the game installation folder (where you installed the game) Then run the (QuantumScrof.exe) which is in the game installation folder and let it do it’s thing,if all went ok it will tell you within the information when it’s finished…Close everything down and start up Xbox Live app or press the home key and type ‘Quantum Break’ and select the game,it will take a few seconds and then you will see that the game has installed,click on open and at some point you will be prompted to link your Xbox Live account so select yes (make sure you have a fake account) and away you go.This is all i did and i’ve been playing it for hours with no errors or issues what so ever.Hope this helps peeps

i’m getting a “cpu features missing – popcnt”error box when initializing.
I have an old Q6600 but i never had problems with that, i’m able to run witcher 3 at 1080p max setting without trouble.

Did everything, first opened QuantumScrof.exe then the gpedit.msc thingy and then the powershell thing. The problem is that the game just flashes the quantum break pic on running the application from start for a fraction of a second and closes. I even tried to uninstall and then reinstall and just deleted the 2 files and run quantumscrof but same thing happens.
