    The updater is not automatic you ninnies. you see that box saying required data not found in current directory? it means you need to CLICK THE BROWSE BUTTON BESIDE IT TO FIND THE LOCATION YOU INSTALLED THE GAME IN. I.E. c:/games/palworld

    also uncheck the hash check, if you got the game from here it will never pass.

      You should not uncheck that. Its verification to make sure you are on the correct version and if you are not on the correct version everything will get messed up.

      Its people trying to go from example 0.1.4.0 to 0.1.4.1 hotfix that are having hash issues. The patches are one at a time for a reason

      IF YOU LOSE YOUR SAVE FILE AFTER THIS UPDATE, DON’T PANIC!!!!

      The save file is still there, the update just created a new steamID, creating a new save file location. Do this to restore previous saves.

      1. Goto this directory – C:\Users\(your system username)\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGame
      2. You will see at least more than one Folder with a long string or mostly numbers.
      3. Create a backup folder here and move everything in the ‘SaveGame’ folder into it
      4. Go into the oldest folder and copy all the contents of that folder and paste them into the newest folder of the ‘SaveGame’ folder.

      That should do it. You just copied your old save files from the previous steamuserID into your new one.

      NOTE: You may need to make a new world to generate the new folder for savefiles.

      I hope this helps.
