So this game is censored as well. I wont buy it on steam.
Ghostlight or whoever censored the game can go fck themselves, i will still play their game and will not give them money, bunch of cunts, dont have balls to release a uncensored game
and people having problem with dlc just go to the installation folder and open the “steam_emu” file and change DLCUnlockall=0 to DLCUnlock all=1 , then all dlc will be unlocked

the controller doesn’t work
it doesn’t appear in the choices
Those worried about some of the DLC not being activated upon installation, do like @pisces said and switch DLCUnlockall=0 to DLCUnlockall=1 in ”steam_emu” and save the file. If it says it’s not allowed or something upon saving, change the permissions of the Mugen Souls Z folder to be able to read and write in order to be able to modify it and save. The issue will be fixed then.
How to fix the controller Problem? It doenst appear in the choices need help please 🙁

1. Try launching the game at least once, which you probably did.
2. After launch, even with a crash, a new file called “MugenSoulsZ.ini” will be created in the game directory. For me, it’s right below the .exe, but just search if it’s not easily found.
3. Open “MugenSoulsZ.ini” with notepad or a similiar program.
4. Go to the second line, which starts with “AltMoviePlayer” and change the number from “0” to “1”.
5. Save the .ini file.
6. Try launching the game again.
It fixed the same issue that you had for me. I hope this answer will help you and others. Have a good day!

Do the same as Pete said above about opening the MugenSoulsZ.ini file that is in the root directory of MugenSoulsZ, except look for the line “LegacyInput=0” and change it to LegacyInput=1. That outright fixed my controller problem. Then try launching the game and using the controller, it will ask you if you want to use (name of your controller), make sure you select yes. Hope this help you or anyone else that is having the controller issue.

I encountered another crash, after starting a new game and getting through the introductory cutscene. At this point, I believe my first solution is no longer effective because it doesn’t solve the whole problem.
This option below is the better solution.
Download the “Combined Community Codec Pack”, also known as CCCP.

It is a playback pack made to support most video formats in existence. With CCCP installed and video extensions linked to said program, I could start playing many Japanese games that I couldn’t before, including Mugen Souls Z. I found out about this method while looking for ways to run BlazBlue: Continnum Shift Extended.
When I open the exe, it just opens the steam page. Can anyone help?
