Language changed itself to russian or something and now i can t change it back, reinstalling the game won t help. please help me
there is a bug, after Volga, everything changed to russian, and the setting didn’t work. So it was impossible to change the language again
same to me, russian language lol, just unistall the damn game, and see the finish game in youtube, its nothing there we can do, at least to me
Language Fix (Game automatically change language)
On June 2, 2020 developers introduces a new “antipiracy” check for running game executable, if it has access to the Internet. The game now always forces to Ukrainian, no matter what language you had before.
There is a fix for that:
1) Open steam_emu.ini in game root with any text editor and add BlockConnection=1 on a new line after Offline=0, then save the file
2) Open C:\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\412020\remote\user.cfg in any text editor and edit lang_sound and lang_text params (lang_sound us & lang_text us – for English, in example)
3) Repeat the same operation with “C:\Users\\Saved Games\metro exodus\76561197960267366\user.cfg”
4) Play in your desired language.
Alternatively you can BLOCK MetroExodus.exe in your Firewall and then switch the language either by running included BAT-files or with manual editing of “C:\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\412020\remote\user.cfg”. If you don’t know how to configure your Firewall – you may simply unplug your Internet connection for the game session.
If anyone (like me today) have stuck the language in Russian (Ukrainian, to be more exact) in Metro Exodus Gold Edition, and can’t change it back to English in the game menu, you can use this FIX: Open steam_emu.ini in game root with any text editor and add BlockConnection=1 on a new line after Offline=0, then save the file

@straman and everyone just have this problem when launch the game open steam and do nothing, click on setup and mark “copy contents of CODEX directory to installer”.

The game won’t launch.
Any idea ?
If the game takes u to Steam then logout from Steam, go to Steams file location (for me it was in Program files x89) and rename Steam.exe (for me it was just Steam and i changed it to Stem. And remember to use capital S!!) and if the game still wont start reinstall the game.
And if u want to play ur Steam games again then just change the name back to Steam or Steam.exe
And if you want to play the game again just do it again.

I’m just here to say this – who the fuck cracks the game and puts Russian as default language in the menu? Why the fuck would you do that? In what world does that make sense? Do you crack the game for Russians? Is Russian a more accessible language than English? Didn’t think so.
How the fuck do I change it to English now when I know zero Russian? Why the hell do I even have to wrack my brains to do that in the first place? Why not leave it the fuck in English and then whoever wants it in Russian, can change the language from the menu. Chances are even a Russian knows English.

Sir, are you mentally disabled? My game was in German, even if i am not from germany lol. This means, language is random at the start, so stop bitching if you don’t know how to change language, in a fucking INI files. i’m pretty sure, you are just another amateur, downloading games from torrent sites, without any knowledge on how to crack or change language lmao.

If X360ce doesn’t work, this is the solution:
1. Run X360ce X64, ver. 3.2.10.82 into the game’s folder.
2. If there is a file xinput9_1_0.dll then delete it.
3. Rename the xinput1_3.dll file to xinput9_1_0.dll.
4. That’s all! Now your gamepad works perfect with vibration too!
