    Hey Guys,

This is Jakub the lead Dev here! Hope you guys enjoy playing the game and it spurs you into buying the full version from our website at http://karaski.com/ 🙂 Truth be told, we are really struggling with getting awareness and sales right now, so every little lost sale hurts.

Out of curiosity, what made you decide to pirate the game instead of buying it? I think it’s a pretty good value for the price we ask.

    Cheers,
    Jakub

I can speak for 99% of pirates: we steal because we are broke. So please do not call it a “lost sale” since there was no money to begin with. Be happy knowing we might talk about your game to other people who do have money and they might just buy it.

I understand how ahrd it is to make games and having people play it for free sucks if you think of it in a negative way. What i think would be helpful to you if you really want to stop piracy is go to a government website and ask how big companies can legally pay less then 5% in taxes while the poor (us pirates) pay 1/3 of our paychecks. Stop the piracy, save the planet!!!!

Hahaha oh my god the entitlement! I’m sure the dev will fondly remember your words and the good he has spread when he’s going to bed hungry.

I pirate games because I’m tired of paying premium price for something I can’t even test beforehand. I can touch and wear the cheapest piece of jewellery before purchase, but I can’t try out a 60€ game before committing to a lifelong purchase.

I make no excuses, I am intrigued by this game and I’ll try it out for a bit. If I find myself playing more tomorrow, I’ll buy it. 10€ is not a lot of money.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to give your honest responses! It’s kind of what I expected. I used to pirate games when I was younger as well, it’s pretty common in Poland where I’m from. I stopped when I began developing, realizing I’d be a hypocrite :p We are all part of the same ecosystem and need to support one another!

I know a large percentage of people who pirate probably wouldn’t have bought it so it’s not always a lost sale! I understand if you can’t buy it now cause you’re broke, so I hope you at least scream at your friends to get it and maybe if you really like it and scrape some spare change you’ll come back to support us! Keep in mind not buying makes us broke too 🙁 and being broke means no more cool games like Karaski.

So anyway, happy playing! But the version here is already outdated by 2 patches, so you’re missing on some bugfixes hehe 😉

    Cheers!
    – Jakub, Lead Dev
P.S. And I’m hoping to get a demo out soon too for those who just want to check it out
