    @fuhdaihl This also happens with the legit version of the game, brought it on Steam last week and the 1st campaign mission crashes on loading screen after it has been loading for about 5-10 seconds, tried all the fixes that were suggested but with no luck, it’s more likely to crash if you’re using an AMD CPU, dunno what cuases it, dunno how to fix it lol.

    If you crash at loading the next island, go to your game folder, click properties, and untick read-only and apply.

    Thanks for tip. I gave this a try but it didnt end up working. When I looked back at my game folder properties I noticed read-only was partially applied again

    @Monkey try lowering the settings, see if that helps, this version is kinda bugged, and i still crash sometimes but disabling read only once helped me load, not always works, but i cant load without the fix.

    Crashes when changing island, or even restarting the same island after playing for about 10 minutes. The problem seems to be the “save corruption” case. This release is haunted by that problem it would appear, sadly.

    I have tried the potential fix of removing the “read-only” flag from both the save file location (the entire folder) and the game folder itself. It keeps flagging itself as read-only again though.

    so you guys that have error on this game its not the game fault but your computer or maybe files that corrupted
    Crash on first screen —- maybe your ram is not suporting cuz my pc need 1 minute to load the black screen with text
    Changing island —- maybe ram problem too but i thins it because of the file (save file)

    steam version of this game can be crash to when changing island and first black screen with text because AMP CPU problems so…

    I am afraid you may be wrong about it, since my CPU is Intel and yet it still crashes when trying to change island, in fact, game crashes when even loading a save file. The problem stems from the campaign.save file which somehow gets unreadable. This save file is generated after a change in stars, for instance after building your first exhibition.
