Many claim it’s very simplified or “dumbed-down,” I’ve heard some mechanics/ships were removed – oh, and there’s apparently some woke GirlBoss Space-Karen bullshit.
I am a big fan of Homeworld and spent many hours in the originals when they were first released, and honestly, this does not play much differently. Why is everyone hating it so much?

A community note on Virustotal claims one of the dll files may potentially be infected with FinFisher. I can’t confirm if it’s true or not, considering FinFisher uses multiple separate steps to evade and defeat AV/anti-spyware software – it’s apparently pretty elaborate and can hide from most. Just read Microsoft’s description of it. Oddly enough though, a scan of some of the “plugin” files came back with a potential virus hit – very strange since they’re just supposed to be audio effects and official files (found in folders “Wwise” and “Shift”)
