   Bro why are free games being uploaded now? There’s literally nothing to pirate, they’re fully free games.

     Plenty of reasons:

     – Digital preservation. What if you like THIS build but the devs will go crazy nerfing or changing stuff?
     – STEAM independence. I shit you not, some gamers hate Steam and avoid it like a plague. I don’t blame them, would not recommend to install it on any hardware. Once you do, it marks every PC part you attach to that HD or SSD, every device you ever plugged in and sends them… somewhere, to be processed. For your own good, right? Right?
     – Self promotion. Some devs are super cool. Like, cucumber on the other side of the pillow level of chill. They remember the times when they pirated stuff and/or still use friendship copies. I would download a car if it also harmlessly duplicates it. I would not download six cars and sold five of them for half the price of the original though but that’s my personal preference.
