the non vr vestion is laggy no ingame menu opening to get to the options
is this the vr version?
Is there actually a way to make this work in vr?
is this NoVR? when i start the Game, in VR it only works on the Desktop Screen and theres no way to control it somehow, Rift S Touchcontrollers dont work, Keyboard/Mouse dont work, XBox Controller dont work… ergo: it doesnt work in VR and in NoVR… what do i have to do to make it work?
Same thing here, it is for NOT for VR and there’s no way to disable NoVR mod.
Please add NoVR to page title so that ppl don’t have to spend their time figuring out why the game does not work.
Found a way to actually play the game in VR.
No sure which steps actually made it work but here they are:
– replace `-novr` command line argument with `-vr` in `Launch.bat` file at the root folder of the game.
– and deleted `./game/novr` folder
– I also added the game as non-steam to steam library but that seems optional.
I wish they simply included two shortcuts for VR and non-VR variants of the game in the first place.
Side notes:
– default root folder for the game is: `C:\Program Files (x86)\Half-Life Alyx`
– if you are having troubles with administrator access for editing `Launch.bat` file: just move it to your desktop, edit the command line argument, and drop it back.
The game looks fabulous! Definitely worth giving it a shot if you got a VR headset.
Just gotta remember to take breaks every 15 minutes not to get motion sick xDDD
Hello anyone else have a tutorial on how to get it to work vr with pc and quest 3. I tried the above method but no dice. Thanks in advance.

Guide for VR mode (Tried with Quest3 and Virtual desktop. But should work with native quest airlink too:
1. Locate shortcut on desktop to open game (Create one if not existing)
2. in the target remove -novr if present
3. Add -vr in the target towards end.
4. Connect headset, launch
5. Enjoy picking and throwing every single thing you see
